Fairly repetitive game, but it's fun and very good for what it is. Large improvement over its predecessor. If there's any chance for a third, you may want to consider implementing the myriad of things you could implement to let the game experience seem more random and "change."
Typo with the bit near the end. It said something along the lines of "Mrs. Potato didn't believed his story." Should read "Mrs. Potato didn't believe his story."
Oh, and that beginning poem... is just so... drab. It was painfully gray in spirit and the wording was so poor -- almost as if a child wrote it. I tried Google'ing the author for more of his / her works, and found nothing, so, I assume it's someone who is a hobbyist. Whoever he or she is, they really, really need to work on it if they ever want to be taken seriously.
Found a bug with abandoning quests. or at least abandoning quests with the quest "Stealing Research" in your quest log -- whenever I abandoned a quest, "Stealing Research" immediately took it's place, which ended up with it being in my quest log twice. Due to this, I was unable to pick up a new quest. So, now I'm basically SoL unless I can find some work around for this.
Perhaps to combat people stacking Dex to make themselves incapable of being hit, you could implant a combination of diminishing returns on dexterity (more severe ones if already in effect) and some abilities that enemies have that are unavoidable and thus must be mitigated.
Levels start fun, and progressively just became frustrating. There are some thrown in with different little gimmicks and neat objectives, but the game quickly just devolves into indeterminable repetition hoping the right chain of events occur. 3/5
Decent game. I didn't quite get the ending, but eh. I found one bug though -- if you die right as you level up, your next run will freeze and you are forced to reload the game.
So, if you tie against Brian, you lose? Ever heard of a draw? Also, its spelled 'artifact.' You should probably also look up when you should use well and when you should use good. All that aside, the game is decent ifn't a little repetitive.
Too much luck involved. The actual chance to incorporate strategy to attain victory doesn't exist. It's extremely obvious that your opponents do not have to worry about resources.
I am normally very, very proficient at these sort-of games. Not this one. There is nothing but luck to it. This could be slightly amended if the opponent also had to adhere to resource pooling. But the fact of the matter is, resources are tight and gold is heavily dominant over others. You don't start off with a couple cards to help gold production, you're SoL. This is worsened by the fact you need gold to even draw more cards.
Really, really could use some work.
For those complaining about having a craft skill maxed and still having a 0% to craft an item for that skill, the problem is you also need to get your artistry up, too. This can be done by purchasing books in the shop for it. (It appears artistry is necessary to produce higher-end goods)
It's extremely archetypal, but it's fun. I found the whole entire having to move sometimes aspect made aiming tedious and frustrating at times. Really a 'feature' this game should have gone without.
