It's not uniformly worse than the predecessor. There are actually many improvements: the UI is more navigable (especially for crafting), tactical combat is an improvement over defensive combat, and some streamlining is very welcome. It just, for whatever reason, feels like a smaller game with less to do and less incentive to do it all than Crusade was. Still, I look forward to the third installation.
Why are there fewer artifacts in Revenant than there were in Crusade? Most of the artifacts in this game are just holdovers from the last. Is there any reason we can't put all of the artifacts in the last game into this one?
I just finished Revenant and came back to play through Crusade again to get the last achievement. But every time I try to start a new game, it just freezes at the "You depart for Stonefield" screen.
"Basic Resources" are insufficiently common. After finishing the mystery dungeon, I have 51 "rare" soul shards, but only 3 cloth. Can we put a "basic resources mystery bag" in the shop or something?
The "Matching Ninja Faces" game could really use some keyboard controls, instead of clicking the buttons. Actually moving the mouse to the spot shouldn't be part of the challenge, should it?
You really need to let the player remap the controls. It's really weird to have to play pinball with either one hand or your two hands super-close together.
Curious. Does this game actually end? I got all the way to 14 this time, and there's a degenerate strategy that can maximize your skills I believe, but if there's no actual ending I don't want to go that far.
That limited gold level has to be bugged. There's no way the opponent should have unlimited resources and the ability to spawn troops faster than you ever can, especially that early in the game. Please fix.
So, by combining Fire Storm, Ice Storm, Energy Storm, Poison Storm, Eternal Rage and a skill to clear gold/treasure (I like treasure hunter)... you're kind of unstoppable in the endgame. Is the endgame really supposed to be easier than that which came before?
Could you please make it possible to change difficulty from Normal to Hard when starting a New Game Plus? I don't want to lose my cycle number, but I want to play on hard.
