News Anchor: "This just in: A plane has crashed somewhere in the atlantic ocean and there were no survivors. Pictures taken from satelitte show a cylindrical object hitting the plane mid-flight. Also, the government has continued to fund the new space rocket project."
Overall a decent game. As pointed out peviously, the coin system is not a good way for the player to collect coins in the arena simply because it's a drag and takes the fun out of the fight. Maybe an option to change the keyboard controls would be nice. I actually liked the fact that you go forward when you strike because your momentum does effect how you move in real life. I think that perhaps some more fight moves would make the fights more dynamic, because often times I found myself just hitting z and x continuously until the enemy died. Maybe an upgrade tree in the future? I liked that you could upgrade your armor and equipment, but the training area, although realistic, is quite useless, so either improve it or trash it. Other than that, I enjoyed the game. 4/5
Not really a big fan of this. There's no real story line to it, you just have team of monsters running around to different locations with no real motive. The graphics are alright but very simplistic. There is also a strong lack of strategy, at the most you can choose your evolution tree, and even with that the abilities of the monsters are very similar. Once you start fighting you lose all control over the game. The shop menu is practically useless seeing as you can only buy five things and not sell your old ones. The whole tutorial was extremely confusing and neglected to give us explanations as to where and what each thing did. The game can also do with at least 20 more badges, which you could have implemented if you had put more effort into the structure of this game. I give it 2/5 stars out of pity.
Soldier:"General, a strange purple-suited man has somehow infiltrated our base. How do you want us to handle it? Should we shoot him down?" General:"No, don't be ridiculous. Just set up a giant laser beam that chases after him as he climbs out. Oh, but don't make it too fast, the electric spikes will get him faster. And make sure it doesn't kill him. Just send him back to start."
If a second version was ever created a good idea would be to make it a bit more complicated. Maybe special flowers could be added. Like blues give speed boosts and reds give you a higher jump.
