Man, this game is horrible! The window is too big, you can't do anything in battles, almost nothing is explained about battles. I don't see why anyone would WANT to "play" this.
If I could, I'd give 10/5 :-) Only criticism is that it's very grindy. But then, maybe that wouldn't be necessary with the right strategy. Will support Pseudolonewolf by buying the OST (until now, bandcamp doesn't take fees but they soon introduce some).
I give this game 4 stars. While I like the idea of climbing through a Lufia 2 Ancient Cave like cave, there are things that are badly designed:
- The game is too easy
- The game is too short
- The stairs are sometimes difficult to see
- The rooms repeat too often
For these reasons, I could not give five stars. The basic idea is very good, and it is goodly designed, but not perfectly.
Great service by Kongregate! I luckily got both badges and it's nice to know I don't lose points. As for the glitches, I only experienced one, being unable to use jump at the very beginning of the first level, making it necessary to rewind once.
I oppose the view that advertising games don't deserve badges. Good advertising games should still deserve badges - even though I didn't like that Dragon Age game much, it was pretty okay while it lasted and seeing it is for free it was good. This PoP game, on the other hand, feels like a Canabalt clone with some extensions (pseudo-fights, traps, rewinding) but not motivating me to play it after I got so frustrated on Canabalt eight months ago. Without the badges I wouldn't have played it longer than the first two levels.
I imagine the game doesn't run when Ubisoft game serversare down? Anyway, it's a clone of a game I saw here some months ago: Canabalt
