May I suggest you allow us to access the monster book in combat and see the stats for previously defeated monsters? It would make picking a spell a lot easier. Also, where do you find the uncut gems at?
Uncut gems can be found from certain monsters, and sometimes from chests. As far as Monster Book in combat goes, I'm not sure if I could get that to work in combat or not. I'll keep you posted on it.
May I suggest a material crafting ability(such as using metal ore to make higher level stuff)? I ask because I have way too much of low level stuff with no purpose now.
oh trust me even copper , tin, metal ore and other materials get "crafted up" with other new materials, to make better Materials. I'm hoping I can do this with most materials so no item is left behind.

I can, I figured it wasn't super important this game because you can only recruit 2 different companions. In witch's tail II that will definitely be implemented.
Having no rogue or archer will invariably make you miss some loot, but not much - most chests can also be opened by forcing them or casting Knock, although for some of them you need a high strength or high intelligence/Earth bonus respectively. Your party is probably strong in other ways ;)
