the color scheme is REALLY rough on anyone who is the least bit colorblind. Doesn't help that the definition of the word "adjacent" is really iffy, since the slightest bit of air will stop a chain.
Fix the color scheme a bit (Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Black, Gray, White, Green if you need 8), adjust the way they fall to be more secure when they settle (to prevent those TINY game-ending gaps from happening), and do away with the color-shifters. By the time they show up balls are falling too fast to babysit them.
I also agree that there should be an on-death detonation to auto-clear some of them. Most who lose a life will soon lose the other four, as it's the bottom section that does you in.
One star. The concept has been done and has potential, but the menu needs work (auto boots you to next stage), and you can call the points something more elegant, like "money" or "respect" to the same in-game effect
decent start. Needs upgrades or powerups that actually affect how you fight, player-controlled Bombs, more enemy types (something that moves other than straight), and perhaps boss enemies.
Ok, the first thing all the people who hate it need to understand is that the games biggest flaw is inadequate directions. if you're willing to explore a bit and make sure everything is dead, it's not too bad (hint: zoom out to max on the map. Works in all but one case, just go to planets). I don't know about bugs, I didn't hit any. My only real problem was that there was nearly no clue how to find the last warp nexus, unless you know real-world Southern Hemisphere star navigation.
Only one complaint. The Homing Rifle's AI SUCKS like crazy. You'd think a homing weapon would be able to score better than 50% hit rates, but it inevitably tracks into walls and away from nearby enemies
My favorite is the two homing missile types plus Lock-on Laser. Fill the air with lasers and stay in the cloud for safety, use the laser for anything the missiles don't take out. Refresh your defense cloud and enjoy.
not a bad game, all told, but on the easy side. I've done 2 Legions and one round of Survival total, and unlocked 51 of the achievements. It's actively difficult to die if you're a veteran of the Shooter genre, unless you're either trying hard or get tired.
