No Mouse-Support? I don't know original Touhou, but is it really controlled by keyboard?
I got killed by collecting the blue squares. aren't they supposed to be powerups or something?
Great Graphics! Nice Gameplay. If it was on purpose that you can't choose your weapon, it's good!
Cons are:
- No Mouse-Support.
- Boss in Level 9 is too easy
- Tesla-Cannon is imbalanced up to Level 15, way too easy to clear anything with it. Let it aim only visible Vehicles.
- I didn't need any bomb. Make it a Shield-Refill or short-lived-Invulerability instead.
Nice to play and good balanced Upgrades. Not My favourite Bullet-Hell and not my favourite Game from Armor-Games.
Cons:
- The Hitbox could really be smaller, I started avoiding the meat after the first run and it was much easier. Is there a button to force shrinking without being hit?
- The "Best"-Mark on the screen hides every enemy and bullet underneath it. Make it at least a little transparent.
- More explanation on the upgrades. It took me a while to understand the numbers on the "Prey"-Type upgrades and the "additional earn for achievement"-Upgrade seems pretty useless to me.
Great Idea and very nice to "play" with it. Also a great tool for other dev's of Bullet-Hell-Games, since you can test how hard to dodge the different pattern really are!
Really great game. Sadly there's no "Story" or "playthrougable" Mode. It's no game for Bullet-Hell-Beginners without Upgrades or a specific Goal to achieve. The Music-Driven gameplay is great, I hope you plan to do something like that for Steam, where you can use your own Music in the game, like in "Beat Hazard". That would be awesome!
If the game can't be started from here it should be removed from the site. I really like rythm games, but none of the 4 songs I tried here are starting!
The game is WAY too easy to be called "bullet hell". The most Problems you get seem to be bad programming: 1. It's harder to catch coins than to avoid the bullets, because the magnet doesn't draw them when they are behind you; 2. all enemy bullets "hide" beheind everything (your shots, coins, upgrades, your ship and other ships!!!); 3. You can't tell when any of the upgrades with a timer will stop.
Fix these problems and MAKE IT HARDER!!! I don't play touhou and I barely managed to finish the last level of "Bullet Heaven", but I finished your WHOLE GAME without any health upgrade and only got hit 3 times in TOTAL!!! The content of the game is for an audience of at least age 12, but the game is easy enough to be managed by 9 yr old kids.
Rating: 3 Stars because the performance is really good (the dev's know their work), but the gameplay is rather bad/boring.
1. "Bullet Hell" where your Path is directed through a flow of coins is quite boring. 2. This game needs better performance. Find someone to review your code and let someone with and old PC test this game with EVERY other application on his PC running WHILE playing the game.
This game is way too easy to be tagged with "bullet hell" If you understand the mechanics of the game you start to avoid Fire-Upgrades on purpose after a while, because of the cooldown. Brown background is unfortunate because of the rocks, but maybe this could be used on purpose! The Design is good, but the gameplay is too easy. Give the enemys MUCH more firepower, your ship should get diagonal shots with later firepower upgrades, a better cooldown or just a cooldown upgrade and every upgrade should have a (visible!) limit. It can be pretty good game with some improvements, so don't let it rot now!!
Really good game. I can't count all the Top-Attributes: 1. Tutorial while loading! 2. "Bullet Hell" is accurate/the game is not too easy! 3. Music/Lighting/Bullets all in Sync O.O!! 4. Savegame-Warning!...
Sadly the Flash-Plugin crashed on a level. My PC is old, so it's ok to lag, but it shouldn't crash!
one can't see how much $ every creep gives and how much and when you get additional $ for each wave... is there something like an interest per wave?? if not it's REALLY needed to know how much you get per creep!!
Smaller shipsize is alright, but what (except of different graphics and parameters) is the difference to basic "Shoot!"?? The Graphics are alright, and I (personally) like the small ship, but the Coding is not very different. Try playing a bit with the movement of the ships and shots. Try to implement different Types of Shots like slower bombs, that explode after flying a bit or anything else you can imagine! Different Upgrades and permanent working Upgrades are easier to implement and don't need additional Graphics.
Another Good thing at the end: I couldn't find a single Bug in my first Test!!
