I'm a sucker for anything tagged "Space" and "Upgrades" but this is too non-interactive to be much fun. Besides drifting a bit to the left and right, and arranging gathering modules, there aren't many interesting choices to make.
Space isn't used for anything else in the game. Why not use z/x/c for reviving? The knockout animation is long enough to avoid hitting it before you mean to, and you'd be readier to be right back in the action.
Thanks for a Mute button before any sound starts. Game froze once when I started a 4 Hydra fight. The hit detection feels inconsistant, but it's still very fun! Original and weird, like I've come to expect from jmbt02
I hate accidentally selling my good gear or pets. I'd love it if there was a buyback screen, or a confirmation popup when you sell high level gear or pets.
LOL This is the first "strategy" game I've ever played where you can win by pushin Start and walking away to make dinner. When I came back, I'd actually won, along with hefty prize in money and experience.
The very lowest I could get was 16%. For every shape, I drew the points in order like this: 6 4 2 1 3 5
You have to be trying pretty hard to get an exceptionally low score.
It looks like upside down shapes work just fine, too. I got a couple A+s with upside down squares.
It's a neat idea and I can't complain about the graphics, but the gameplay lacks depth. The boss battles are very interesting. The endless mode are truly endless. They don't seem to get substantially harder.
I enjoyed this very much. I can't wait to try the 4 player mode. Online multiplayer would be nice, but I wonder how much lag would hurt the gameplay. All in all, a very slick piece of work. Kudos.
I'd also like to add that it's quite short. I thought I died rather early my first run through, but I beat it on a second try. There are only 50 levels.
"oohpretty" is right. It's visually impressive, though a little too chaotic for comfort. I lost the tiny square cursor a lot in the numerous square explosions. The enemies, music, and powerups are spot on though.
