This game is pretty cool. I like the 'early' feel of it, and as for the many mute button complainers, doesn't your computer have it's own mute? Mine has one on the keyboard and a click-to-adjust volume button. It could use some starting instructions (Fly towards the center, folks!) but it's really a nice little game.
My guess is someone wants people who spend too much time in front of the computer to learn how to get a basic fast food job. I already have a full time job. Graduated from fast food many years ago. These games are about as monotonous as those jobs.
So the mystical Golden Robot, rumored to be so powerful that only it could defeat the wizard, turns out to be a buddy? Yes, he's the best buddy, but your average orc does more damage.
I thought the Robot was going to defeat the wizard, not my highly leveled self. Good thing I did all that leveling up, isn't it?
101Rev - if you're having trouble getting the hard badge, start with a game on the easiest settings, once you hit the finish, keep playing, take your 5 most skilled guys, train them at the school in everything until they have 10 in every skill. Load them up with the 5 best pieces of equipment you have, and go to another town. this starts another game which you can set on harder settings and start with 5 superheros who can do everything and you have 5 great pieces of equipment. That's a huge plus when playing on hard.
Also, of course, chase off any mad scientists you see, tell anybody who thinks zombieism is the next step to go enlighten himself and throw him over the wall, and go back to the saved game any day when you lose people. Good Luck!
Funny how the drunker Andy is, the more conservatively he plays. Just aims for the low risk, low gain ones he can hit. Most drunk people take a chance on a hard that they can't even see for the double vision.
OK, I'm confused about how skills work. I'd read earlier that in order to reclaim, replace, or fortify buildings in the shortest time, you had to have a total building skill of 11. Nice and straightforward. Killing zombies seems more complicated, but I was trying to figure out details. Now I've got a fight with 18 zombies. I find three people able to safely wipe them out, but was trying to figure how much less firepower I can use to get the same result. There's a guy with Offense stat of 2 that is more valuable of a fighter than the one with an Offense of 3 or the one with a 4! With the 3 and the 4 in the group, there's 4% danger. If I go with the 2 and the 3, it's 3%, and with the 2 and the 4, it's 0%. I wanted to take the 2 out because he's more valuable as a scavenger, but I guess he's just lucky in a fight!
I understand that the wounded person needs to rest in the hospital for a couple days, but does she need the equipment? She's not using it, but I can't dis-equip it.
"Read the in-game instructions" is all well and good, until I come back after not playing it for a few days and need to remember how to get at my inventory. Was it I? No, space. I thought I pushed space for something...
If you need to know, it's Return to get at the map, inventory, and pretty much anything else that isn't arrow keys and X and Z
Can I break the barrel that's blocking me from getting at the chest? We should be able to turn the crates & tables and stuff into wood. After all, they don't appear to be in great shape.
Needs mouse-over info boxes. Why does one of my guys have a gear on his back? What does this button with the three guys on it do? Is this crate a money crate or an ammo crate? Some of the controls weren't explained in the tutorial, and I can't tell if I want to experiment with them or not.
How do I kill a sheep with my hands? I can kill a sheep with meteors, spears, or axes, but I'm not sure what it means me to do for the achievement. I'm not about to punch my computer.
It's a well done game, difficult without getting annoying.
How do I set the game on a harder difficulty to get the last badge? I've gone through the game twice, but I don't see the difficulty settings in the Config menu or anywhere else.
I loved the original and this is a well-done sequel. The changes improve the gameplay - sometimes make things easier, sometimes more challenging. It still has the basic charm of blowing up penguins, very funny set up - this was my intro to tower defense games and is still a favorite. I wish it had more keyboard shortcuts - for one thing the 1-0 keys for building don't accept my keypad, just the top row. Shouldn't make a difference, should it? For another, upgrade, sell, and pause unpause would be very useful.
Unfortunately, I still get the 'disappearing tower' bug.
If you leave the possibility that players can jump off of the main playing area (both sides of level 2) you need to have a 'suicide' button - I had to reload the page and start over. Not a major loss on a 2 level game, but I'd assume you're going to finish the game sometime. Might want to prevent that.
