I'd suggest an option to turn off the background aftereffects -- it's pretty, but not everyone's got the system to handle that for long. Also, you seem to be using time to stagger out the enemy waves, but there's nothing to speed up the next one coming when you've cleared the screen, so the game winds up being like 60% waiting...
It's a bit...dialogue heavy. Still, the character interaction is absolutely beautiful, and everyone on the ship has a lot of skeletons in their closet to work out.
The one nasty thing about this game is that if you even one thing gets crowded, all the customers in the place will start giving you three thumbs down F-- You Suck ratings even if the rest of the hotel is absolutely resplendent. Like, okay the cyber cafe is crowded. IT'S WIRELESS.
Your awesome special weapon near the end of the campaign is worse than the default one :|
And yeah, the way to make a game appropriately hard is not to make your teammates blithering idiots who blow themselves up or feed the opponent a stream of free kills.
There should probably be some kind of tie between morale and how far your troops actually are. I've had my dudes surrender literally inches from the victory distance like six frigging times.
You did a really, really good job of memory management and processing shortcuts. This game looked better and ran CONSIDERABLY smoother than most games on this site. Also loved the little touches like the Junk system.
It's not just mouse lag, the second screen damn near crashed me altogether and most of the ones after that froze up for a long while. Using Vista and Firefox.
You really need to be able to command the monsters you launch manually. Watching them just wander off and piss in a corner to get shot at by half the enemy base is not remotely fun.
There's also an issue where the critical zone will occasionally shrink smaller than the cursor travels in a single frame -- making it impossible to land.
Is it possible for your various rivals to bother training their monsters? Kind of silly to get triple the XP off their level 1 dude that you annihilate before they move, than you do off a level 15-16 opponent in a cup match.
Try pressing it then ;)
