This game is so unrepentantly half-assed. You run out of quests at about level 10, have to straight-up grind to 20, do about five more, then you're basically dry until your 40's. Add in the fact that there are a grand total of TWO places that are mathematically anywhere NEAR worth your time to grind, and you have a game marked by its staggering lack of content.

It's basically Cell Warfare. But Medieval. I mean I like that you're trying not to break what you already did right, it's just kinda meh. Oh, and the music is an aural mess -- I dunno if it tried to play two tracks at the same time on me or what.

@Navets: Yeah that's how I eventually did the 20x combo (pulled it off before getting either medium badge in fact ^^). I'm just saying I freely admit it was blind luck that nobody moved while offscreen and threw off my aim, or my charge targeted a disappearing corpse, etc.

The 20x combo badge is basically luck. Your only three moves that aren't super-close range all extend beyond the edge of the screen, and one of them stops cold if its target (which you likely couldn't see) moves at all. If we could zoom out or something, that would be nice...

This is particularly aggravating in any castle where your ideal shot is near to the ground. While shots in the upper arc can be made fairly accurately, there's a VERY small difference in release position between hitting the castle 3/4 of the way up, and grounding your shot early. Like I said previously, unless you have a killer CPU, you'll only ever see frames to release it too far on either extreme.

Some of the gold medals are mechanically impossible unless you have a killer CPU. The projectiles' release trajectory is determined on frame instead of on swing time -- even on low quality, you may skip right over the necessary release frame and never see it.

Another mechanical problem. When the field gets cluttered and the framerate drops, gatling weapons tend to travel further between frames than enemy hitboxes are large -- you literally shoot THROUGH them without hitting them. In the future, have the hit check the projectile's path from the previous frame to the present one to catch hits like that.

The biggest flaw with this game by far is the fact that when the pointer leaves the window, the ship comes to a dead stop. Not only does this mean you get screwed by full stops a lot -- doesn't help that you technically can't see the pointer at all -- you are also physically incapable of moving quickly into a corner or along a wall (level 10, 3rd turret phase, this shows pretty badly). In future games, please track the mouse out-of-window, it'll alleviate a lot of issues.

I'd advise you to get a proofreader in the future to make sure your text is correct. Beyond that, the game rocks, and whoever made the music deserves a medal or something.
