Absolute masterpiece. One of a few puzzle games with REAL logic behind it instead of a random actions. Even board elements being simply yet effectively presented instead of boring tutorials or try&die schemes, 5\5.
Quite short game, finished in one run roughly for 20 minutes. Pretty solid physics based game with minimalistic concept of 'pinball' style mechanics. The only donwside is a bit (just a bit) slow rotation of sticks. Not a real problem after few minutes of playing but faster rotation could be useful for different schemes of ball tossing. No really hard levels to stuck on, no bugs, medium replayability.
Was able to finish first level with 111% after few retries. Seems that the only thing which affect final score is number of used or non-planted flowers.
You just have to send one line per bug like badge description suggests but also time it properly to let initial and all solo bugs to move 1\3 of screen so flower line which attacked them will jump on one of the next bugs which comes in pairs.
Gameplay in core pretty simple yet very addictive and in combo with hilarious dialogs game become really awesome. Hope new sequel will be released someday alone with extended campaign new gamemodes or even multiplayer
Excellent work Momoguru ! Never saw such complex and multifaceted space sim game on such simple (flash|unity) engine. Astrox reminds me mix of a good old games such as Freelancer, Space Wolves, FlatSpace and Galaxy on Fire
but with its own special charm. Moreover due to flexible settings, awesome graphics, music and constant updates Astrox potential increasing impressively from time to time, making game really 'unlimited'.
Hope you wouldnt drop Astrox and will continue developing, so new ships, guns, fighting between 'good' and 'evil' AIs or even multiplayer will be added (also I hope you still working on stanalone version).
I rarely rate games on Kongregate higher than 4\5 due to fact that its really hard to choose 'best of the best' from all good games, but due to unique gameplay and free constant updates Astrox received 5\5. Once again - great job.
This game has lots of minor problems such as preatty strange economy and production system, slightly overloaded interface, non-friendly quest and battle screen (boring repetitions of the same operations and poor info about how troops skills really works), impossibility to participate in battles 'personally'.
Still i find this game preatty nice because it reminds me 'Heroes' 'Settlers' and other good old games. If author will remake global economy system and bring more dynamic in game 'Guild Dungeons' will be really nice.
Great game, reminds me of good old days of playing Nintendo and Sega games. Thank you for Snailiad hope new parts or other funny arcade games will be made
I guess, adding of some kind of RPG system and rpg-themed games (nes\gbastyle fights, simple 2d race, some kind of text quests) will be great. Also, additional customization of Ping and his house will be fine too. And btw - thanks for very nice game!
