It's got a good start to a fun game. The rather long lag between pressing a key and a response makes it more frustrating than it needs be early on. A bit of balance tweaking though, and it will be a lot of fun.
With all due respect, the game is a bit inconsistent about saving. It probably never works if the chat doesn't connect, but even when it does, my progress starts over every time I leave the game. I've tried it on several machines, all with unlimited storage.
'Twas fun until it go so busy with the computer's ships that it stopped building anything for me. So... no power, no weapons, no chance for survival. 10 full-up power producers, 5 stores, but nothing happens.... hmmmm.
I seem to have one of two problems: either the country didn't exist when i was in High School, or my mouse (at 2000dpi) moves 200 miles/tick. I, too, should have paid more attention as most of these places haven't moved in a very long time. Funny how much different the world looks without borders...
Hmmm. So let me get this straight. i have 100k food and a net positive 20k production and suddenly there is a food shortage: 10% troops leave and now I'm at net 50k food. The production puts it back positive; guess what? Another food shortage, repeat as above. Over, and over... Methinks the computer gets frustrated too! heh.
If I could stop snickering to myself, I'd have to actually consider a 1 score -- it's rare I can even get to the elevator without dying and the stairs get me if the elevator doesn't. Been there!
Yea! Finally got it together long enough to place a sentry gun. Not long enough for it to get off a single shot, but it's a beginning. Pity I was frozen into a corner for 30 seconds or so unable to move or fire until they came for me.... I guess the trick is to stay away from the walls -- makes sense, in a way as they are crumbling away and covered in zombie parts.
Well, after 50 tries, I've still not figured out how to survive long enough to make it to wave 7 and afford a good sentry gun to help with the massive hordes. I'll just have to hunt down a good recipe for brains, I guess, and join them.
This is so very close to a great Flash game. So close, but the Velcro walls, frequent loss of directional control for movement and firing, and zombies that take over 50 hits to dispatch just put it back into the pack. Ahead of most, but far behind where it ought to be.
There must be a way to get to day 4..... All I keep getting on day 3 are 6-8 at once coming at every opening..... And that's on the normal level... Where's a good box of HE when you need it? heh.
23 days in a row my job ended after the first day and each reduces your happiness so you lose more and more of the day.... with a few tweaks in the frequency of events, and as was said before, some positive events, and this could be a fun Flash game to spend a few minutes here and there.
I can't imagine what this get like later when they get tough. By the time I can fire off the first arrow, 8 of them are on top of me pummelling me to death. Over, and over, and over. Back to the instructions, I guess. I must have missed something in there.....
I have a pretty hot PC and notice that every now and then the music gets just a tiny bit out of sync -- If I stay with the music nothing matches and after a while even staying on the line doesn't work. I just have to wait out a bar and let it all sync up again. Good thing I'm not a guitar player! I'll stick with the keyboard or winds.
