Yeah -- the fact that you have to wait forever to afford to build anything and don't know that there is a time limit before your unknown loan comes due and you're immediately bankrupt does really put a damper on this one. Bummer -- I always enjoy a good simulation to relax now and again.
Great fun! Although, I don't understand it well. Seems the computer can send a wave of 10-15 cats at once, all of which heal themselves. I guess it's telling me to work on skills more.
I'll go with a 2 as it's humorous, and of course, themed for the holiday. However, the controls don't work very well, nor is the collision detection (one of the hardest parts of game design, I'll grant). Tickles my warped side though.
Not bad for a first release. My only problems are no save -- having to start at the beginning every time and that they can shoot from off-screen and hit even if they miss.
I meant to add, but hit TAB by mistake, the name and challenge name are perfect! Yes, I do get that it's supposed to be a little frustrating after a short bit, I'm just the impatient type.
If I didn't have to just stand there stupidly and wait until the boss can attack every time, and I were allowed to choose an opponent when it's 3 or 4 to one (at level 1 -- can't imagine how much fun level 4 must be), this could be a fun diversion. As it is, it's just a "how long can you keep clicking your mouse" game.
I need better training. I watch soldier after soldier walk past all my guys without any of they bothering to fire at them..... Where's a good NCO when you need him?
Holy Tweaks!
I'd played this earlier, and it seemed the rolls were fairly random. Now, 95% are in the computer's favor and it chooses "random" removal of cards by highest value first. Hmm.... Methinks my PC is on to me.
I'd like to give this a 3 or 4 as it is a fun puzzle/platformer style game. Sadly, that is it a 1-pixle/1-clockcycle game brings it to 2 or 3 depending on your tolerance for that sort of thing.
It looks that it's been tweaked a bit to make it a little harder for the cheaters. Fun.. weapons shoot once every few seconds. Reloading takes forever, chainsaw seems to stop every time one gets near the barracade..... Tomorrow....tomorrow... I'll get even with the creatures of the night...
It is a fun diversion for a short bit. Would that I could have known how to do this when I was 12.. But, I do see what others mean about the collision detection -- things are about 2-3 mm away, but count as a hit. The screen does get busy and space is tight. I had to restart several times to survive to the first bubble caught as the cutters filled up any route I could take.
I was hoping that the first six levels were with random decks, but get the same thing over and over -- nothing that plays, nothing that helps... next time -- I'll get you next time! Random really likes to mess with my head. Oh -- fun take on the card-game style!
Not a bad sand-driving game. It could be a little more fair about the application of the laws of physics, and if the computer didn't hire hit cars to bump you off the course... then again, I guess it is fairly realistic -- the computer just is able to afford better tires, lawyers, and a bit more control of the cars. heh.
Man! If ever there was a candidate for "endurance" The End is it. It's taken me what seems like an eternity, but I finally managed to finish him off. Thanks for a lot of nail-biting and fun.
Getting closer -- had The End down to 25k before he got to my castle, and down to just under 15k before it beat me for the bazillionth time. next time -- next time....
