This would be a pretty decent generic Tower Defense if the AI wasn't so cripplingly horrible. I hate seeing enemies get by with the tiniest sliver of health on hard because a tower shot it once and then nothing ever hit it again. The retargeting seems to be completely at random.

I think I would rate this higher if the colors levelled faster and if it didn't suddenly get like 4x harder at level 12... I don't get hit once even on my first try, and then at level 12 I get owned every time.

oh, and you shouldn't say "in real life you don't know how many hits you need to kill someone" because if you stab someone in the neck "in real life" they die. If you are a good swordsman, you always know you need 1 good hit. Granted every hit will not be a super clean hit that instantly kills, but it really would not take more than 2 ever. I think you meant "in a real life version of a fantasy setting where it is commonplace to survive dieing 12 times before you actually die" which is totally different.

This is a big improvement over Achilles, I hated Achilles but I actually find this fairly worth playing. I wish the enemies were not so resistant to being interrupted... my attacks can get cut off in mid frame, but 80% of the time when I die, my foot was planted in the attacker's chest long before his attack landed. Also, the randomness is too much, I understand some randomness, but hitting a guy 2 times and taking him down to > < much hp, and then hitting him with 3 more of the same sword hit and not even moving his bar is rediculous. Also, at that point it is no longer doing the thing you claim you put it in for; simulating a varying level of toughness in opponents. All this sort of thing simulates is that my character is a very bad swordsman.

wow. what were they thinking making it so that only the trail from the sword can hit things? i'm pretty tired of getting killed by biters who have my sword lodged in them.

I don't understand why this game punishes you so heavily for misclicks and got rid of the stat change display while leveling so it's even easier to pick stuff you weren't planning on accidentally. Also this version seems even worse about not changing up the gameplay at all over the course of the game than the previous one did. I really don't like how mages start off physical dmg and you have to throw away 10 gold to get them doing the kind of dmg you want, and being forced to pick a special attack when they block other specials from going off is kind of silly... although at least you can just give them cripple, since that's useless to give to a specialist/inflictor anyways.

I like how whenever anyone uses an idea that a game which is currently popular has borrowed these days, everyone here complains that it is stolen. I have news for you, Solid Snake was intentionally not original; he's a walking cliche. Also, World of Warcraft didn't invent elves. And there's no Easter bunny, either. Or are you claiming that they are stealing the bad acting? 'Cuz Metal Gear Solid didn't invent that either...

should change the game so that skill is in some way involved in it. right now it's just watch and wait and pray that a boat actually decides to go to Madagascar. 3 games in a row where not one boat went there. I'd be winning in like 80 days if this wasn't such a joke.

Really like the comboes, but I wish my towers wouldn't just stop firing them sometimes, especially since the towers' max damage is designed to be woefully inadequate after about 125 or so on extreme and the only way is with the damage from comboes

Enjoyed the game for 15 levels but do not think I will play anymore. Never getting new units to build makes it get rather tedious and the specials really aren't interesting enough to bother with without being able to manually order the guys to change targets so they slow/debuff multiple enemies. What really ended it for me, though, was when I tried out the archer because air was really hurting me on a level... and even on the earliest air level I could possibly manage /w the -50 cost skills the guy was so weak he could not drop a single flyer. If he's gonna cost 22.5x the gold and 4 skill points he should be outstanding at his speciality, not notably worse than a mage leveled enough to cost a similar amount would be.
