This game already impressed me before I even hit play: each of the "Best Comments" has a pleasing Dev response, and it's clear from the go a lot of love's gone into this game. The campaign intro's pretty funny, but then the real fun starts... 5/5. I love it.
Than you! We are really made this game with love, hard work and a lot of time. We are closer to you then you think, we are not corporation that makes a game every day. We just like to play games too. And learn to code or paint can everyone. We just enjoyed making it, and we are very happy that you like this game.
What's next on TownDen's list? Make the vastly innovative Bad Birdies, where you have to create funky vehicles to recover pieces of a map to the Piggies' bacon?
Thanks for your input. There's 3 ways the hose team can suddenly stop spraying. First is when the fire burns the hose, he'll turn grey and stop spraying. Second is if the fire touches the unit, the unit will turn red and stop spraying. Last way is if you tap the hose team while he's stopped, this will "unhook" from the water source, he'll turn white and stop spraying. Note however that if the hoser is moving while spraying, the unit will stop moving only and continue spraying water. It's a bit tricky I know, and we're working on a different solution to help manage unit actions and overlapping units. I'm open to any suggestions :)
Strength is your primary stat. Keep DEX and SPD near 20, everything else into STR. A team of 3 Dimachaerus with that build will win you everything up to Alexandria. As soon as your dudes hit level 41, reset them and put the skillpoints in the Murmillo tree instead. Counter attack (and a good shield + spear) allowed me to beat Rome's #1 team with the guys I had since Londinium at level 35.
Not quite sure what a player's skill has to do with the outcome of the battles... Still, it's not nearly as bad as the number of "window too big" and "not unique enough" QQ'ers suggest. Fun enough to sink a couple of minutes a day into.
"BOOM headshot!"
"But you didn't even touch--"
*heart attack*
Fun litte game. Nothing too complicated. The targets die of fright if the arrow zips too closely past their heads. =D
I had a lot of difficulty fighting Elder Gornash, especially on level 3 when he summons hordes of evil tentacly eyeballs that kill everything in their sight. They made me see a much better strategy than the one I'd been using thusfar though. The backbone for every deck is gold. Insane amounts of it. Put as many gold-producing cards as you can in your deck. I dominated 17 fights getting upwards of 30 gold per second by when my deck was played out, and using all this money to summon my strongest creatures in clusters and generally kicking ass. The trick to beating Elder Gornash - or any other AI for that matter - easily, is by summoning weenies (only weenies!) instead. "Peasant" is my deck's best card! The trick? Add at least 2 (but preferably more) "Parting Gift" cards to your deck, and 2 to 5 copies of "Gem Mine" so you can cast them when needed. As lord Xykon would say; Sacrifice minions! Please [+] if this helped you.
Even on the hardest difficulty (Lu Bu) every fight can easily be won by charging forward with just your general and as many officers as you can bring. Don't buy units -- just give your General Demon Rage when he reaches the tower or enemy general and refresh when it runs out. Focus on upgrading your mana generation first, and you can breeze through most every fight.
Very well made. Graphically simplistic, but not so much it disturbs you. Gameplay-wise simplistic, but the puzzles you've made with it are top notch. Despite its superficial simplicity, the levels you've made are quite complex. I'm looking forward to the game you're making off this!
PROFITABLE CRAFTING --
You can make a lot of money by crafting, assuming your bargaining isn't very low, and you have a couple of crafting skills at a high level (preferably maxed) along with 4 recipes. The 4 required recipes are: Oil of Enhancement, Oil of Polishing, Quickfire Bow, and Encrusted Garb. The oils are valued 1000 coins each, the bows are worth 500 and the garbs 750. First, buy 4 sets of Basic Materials, 2 sets of Mage Reagents and 2 sets of Rare Materials. Next, make 5 of each oil*, 5 bows, and 10 garbs. (*: only 90% success rate at max, it's okay to fail one in ten) Sell all the things you've made, possibly making an appreciable profit depending on your Bargaining skill. Repeat as often as you like.
NOTE: I've not found anything worthwhile to make with the leftover materials**, but even with these excesses, making and selling these 4 different items is rather profitable. (**: 10 fel stones, and some coal, gold bars, leather, wood, stone and various reagents)
POSSIBLE BUG REPORT: I've maxed every Personal Skill except for Observation and Bargaining. That means all crafting skills, including Tailoring and Artistry, are at 1000. However, the Mystical Hairgrip has a 0% succes rate. The Robe of Reliance is also stuck at 20%, which seems at the low end for someone so skilled he can sew stuff just by looking at it.
Kongregate's Sports department is a bit under represented, especially in comparison to its Strategy (read: tower defense) archive, but this game truly is a pearl and compensates in quality for what the Sports Games lack in quantity. It's one of few games that I enjoy playing enough to keep doing so after beating it ruthlessly. Hit [+] if you want DJ Statika to even further improve it in a sequel!
Easy XP can be made by playing level 6 with any race, as long as you have Hobbits. (Read the Instructions and the Credits to unlock them.)
Take out the first wave of orcs and goblins using your tower's arrows. When the first arrow hits, start button-mashing 1 (Hobbit's hotkey). Keep this up 'till the end of the map. Your hobbits will storm the enemy castle and 'Boom'. 6k exp in 2 minutes' work.
