pros: good concept, beautiful backgrounds and nice artwork
cons: the dialogue lines are too short-timed to be read in the heat of battle; the limited vision on the vertical axis is frustrating (when enemy fighters can just go off screen and pop up right on your carrier); the repair drone AI is buggy (in two games all my drones went off screen and NEVER WENT BACK!); the bullet flight speed is too damn slow for such a long battlefield, thus making aiming frustrating. 2/5
Very nice racer, I like the music, the upgrades and the achievement features. However, it totally lacks the very purpose of a car race: arriving first, beating opponents. 3/5
Difficulty, man? It WOULD be difficult IF there were no bombs... But it is no match for a Kongregater/Armor Gamer. 4/5 just because since I seldom play on Newgrounds I know just a few cast characters otherwise it would be a mega-laugh.
All the sprites are too damn small and the zombies are easily mistaken for the floor, after 10 minutes my eyes were aching. Opening locked doors seems to be useless, very poor design even if the idea was good.
All right implementation of Defence of the Ancients or Aeon of Strife from Warcraft III. Well balanced, but with some flaws and a lack of originality and micromanagement.
just to increase your knowledge: there is a Nintendo game called Contra, a platform/shooting game. In the starting screen you could input cheat codes to select a level or test BGM. Since your gaming controls were just the cross-shaped D-pad and the A and B buttons, the codes were up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, A or up, down, left, right, A, B.
(Quindorpedia, "Contra")
Beautiful graphics, but the AI is very poor (why copters don't go help teammates under attack?) and spoils game strategy: once all your units reach the bottom and fight together you just have to sit and watch enemies die. This makes levels 7 and 8 boring more than challenging.
