The A.I. has two key flaws you can exploit, TomTurbo:
1) It doesn't understand that you can reinforce a full node from another node, giving you infinite troops. If you can fight it to a standstill, you should always be able to build up a bigger force.
2) It's not aggressive enough - it likes throwing troops away to conquer neutral nodes. If you throw everything you have at the red nodes, you can often blitz red - it will attack grey instead of exploiting the hole in your defense, allowing you to wittle it down. Remember, you need to wipe out red to win, NOT conquer every node.
Everyone, I think you might not be able to shoot on level 9 because you haven't realised that on level 9, you haven't got a gun equipped, since you removed it for level 8 (which used a special gun), so you're entering level 9 with no gun. Try reequipping.
When will flash programmers learn that they can't use right-click as a control option, since right-click is used by flash itself for settings and so on? I have to play without diazepam, since right click brings up the settings menu. :(
Epically buggy. I hit home during the first mission, and every time I started a new game, my score would start dropping since it thought I was still in the mission. Don't even get me started on the terrible grammar.
I agree with the other posts I see, but to add to the complaints about the life system - I don't consistently lose lives! Sometimes I'll lose a life for making the ball go off the screen, sometimes not, and mixing in the car going off the screen is even more confusing!
The game is full of bizarre little symbols which obviously are supposed to explain e.g. how much energy a given skill costs, but there's no way I can see to look that info up while in a fight, e.g. in a popup if you hover over the symbol. That means I have to have the entire symbol set memorised! Not cool.
The balance seems very broken - I picked gunslinger, and I'm well into the game and have to keep restarting since if the enemies pick on me and/or Veradux decides to stop healing me, I die in about 1 round (2 tops). If I respec for more life, I nerf my damage, and I haven't got the base stats for that anyway. :(
Could the next version also include a way to access the spending money menu from the map?
Also, I could do with an auto-charge option, and more money for victories (giving money for killing units rewards failure more than victory, since you want the battle to take longer so you can kill more guys).
I've found that spamming refresh will help with the loading failure, but it still fails to load a hell of a lot. Game mechanics aside - and I agree with the people who think this game is terrible, for all the obvious reasons - I can't believe they'd put a badge on a game with a bug this serious.
Wow. You have to start the whole thing over since it doesn't save your game. Just..... wow. I got the first badge and the card, played to level 45, then went to sleep. I woke up and started up firefox again to discover that I had to go back to level 1. That's.... incredibly, stupendously obnoxious. 1 star.
