for some reason when i try to fight tougher enemies, for example when helping the dissidents, the fights seem to bug out. sometimes the enemy indicator just disappears for no apparent reason. After some time i just blow up and get a defeat screen without seeing that i was even hit. I'm not entirely sure whether it's a bug, because it could also be that there are some specifics to combat that i just don't understand. However i did play the tutorial, and when fighting weaker enemies i usually don't even get hit at all.
We need to rework the combat tuning a bit, and plan to do it on upcoming versions. In the meantime, upgrading the ship is the only way to stand a fighting chance against powerful enemies. Hope you're still having fun, and many thanks for trying our game!
I don't really like idle games, but this game is somehow different, it's more of a time management game where it's always possible to optimize just a little more so you never sit around waiting for a bar to fill or repeatedly clicking the same button/using an autoclicker to repeteadly click a button until you get bored.
I personally really dislike the wait real time or pay money thing that many mobile games use. If i play a game i want to play and not be forced to stop because my pickaxe broke and needs to repair for an hour. I haven't played enough to know if this actually hinders grinding in the late game, and i never will because those arbitrary timers really make me not want to play the game. It seems like this game would be pretty fun if the workshop was completely removed and anything that would normally wait there would just be made available immediately. I understand that as a developer you need to make money, but i much prefer games that are made to be fun without paying, but allow you to buy things that make you level up faster or get more choices of items.
i made a conveyor belt... doesn't win any levels, but kinda funny. m,1,9,90,3,cddouu;m,1,7,90,1,ouucdd;m,1,5,90,3,cddouu;m,1,3,90,1,ouucdd;m,1,1,90,3,cddouu;m,3,3,270,2,oldcur;m,3,4,270,3,cddouu;m,3,6,270,1,ouucdd;m,3,8,270,3,cddouu;m,3,10,270,1,ouucdd;m,3,12,270,3,cddouu;
i got an overly complex solution to haematite. it involves multiple near collisions.

shiny artie is so op. when i unlocked my first kongpanion slot, i chose shiny artie and got 6 time my old distance. i actually felt like i could keep going until i got bored, as i slowed down and sped back up alot.
i finally beat this game. i never got passed the pearl attack because of the lag, and for some reason dieing there made his health get stuck. i think dieing at the electric gate once helped because i got a little extra damage in at that part and i beat it before even getting to the pearl. you can still shoot him at the gate section if you get in the correct section of the gate and almost touch the gate. if you do that correctly you can still damage him but he can't damage you. if you then deplete all your lives except your last at this section you should be able to beat him without pearl.
the only reason i can't win this is that the pearl lasers lag the game so much that i get 0.5 frames per second and i can't even try to dodge them which makes me die very fast. if the dev had put in the effort to optimize his game i would have gotten the badge. but now i'm gonna rate it 1 star for a lack of effort or skill from the dev and i'm gonna stop playing.
lvl 8 is really hard, but i beat it by using many of those beam thingies, and going for the bottom right next to your base first. that one is by far the hardest, and if you can beat it the rest will be easy. makers are also very useful here.
is this uploaded by the original dev? i loved this game when i first played it at armor games, but it's strange to see it here. and the dev account on kongregate has no other game uploads and is level one.
this game won't get badges. to get badges the kong api needs to be implemented. this means that highscores will automatically be unlocked, and badges are something that can be made by kong. this game does not have highscores, therefore it won't get badges.
i finished the game (i got the less than 5 deaths medal btw (: ), all stars, and decided to try out endless mode. then i noticed my bow did next to no damage. i had alot of trouble killing even a simple bat without the spells. if this is intended, please note that it is really annoying and seems to just inflate the difficulty for no apparent reason. if this is not intended please fix. i have to assume it's a bug though as you do get to keep your spells.
i have only tried normal mode and found the game very easy. yes my characters died alot, but resurrecting is just so easy that it didn't matter. i do very much dislike the fact that once you click buy on an item, you must take it. even if you change your mind or the only character that can have it already has something.i also find it strange that replaced items just disappear, and you can't equip them to another character. this feels a bit like artificial difficulty, which is bad, but in this case didn't actually make normal mode difficult. i used a very very basic strategy, i overwrote some items accidentally and still won with only a little sign of difficulty at the end, and one out of combat death. i like the small levels and the fact that it's text based with some graphics (in classic nerdook style) attached to it. but i would also like to see a sequel with a larger world/campaign. maybe give the player some choice of where to go (or the illusion of choice for that matter).
this is pretty fun to play as a beginning programmer. i have some experience in python and most of the stuff you talk about (at least in the first part) seems very clear and helpful. i really feel like after this i would be ready to make something in flash.
the movement could use some improvements. it's practically impossible to reliably aim where your head will go when you throw it. which makes it extra infuriating when you complete the last level and see that you got 89 stars total instead of 90 knowing for a fact that you collected all of the coins in any level. hint: the last coin isn't in a level.
