This game is boring. The objects dont change, and the balloons come to fast and the armadillo moves too slow to roll and unroll. Other launch games understand that the game can be boring and changes up the scenery so theres always something new. Plus, the Kongpanions still arent a feature, since they could be replaced with anything else and do the same thing in this game.
PS, Kong, the single quote and left parentheses dont type out in comments.
The upgrade style isn't that great. It's the same style as FFX and that was my main problem with that game. It limits choices for no reason. Skill trees are fine, as long as they are labeled with play styles. Second, the price shouldn't go up based on how many I have, but where they are on the 'tree'. It's needlessly long.
The game starts of quick, but then slows to a crawl as prices get way out-paced by profit gained. That is a good time to introduce some sort of mini-game to help pass the time, and since this is a 'one sitting' game, this is a bigger concern.
Hello and thank you for that. I agree there were a few questionable design choices on my part. It's weird but when you work somewhat in a vacuum you can seem like a genius to yourself (as I often do) but in reality be pretty blind to what is going on. I think you're pointing out a flaw I introduced when I did some tunes to make the game shorter and more 'playable' overall. It worked but the game became weirdly balanced at times. I'm learning and would love to do a sequel to this as it was a blast to make and people seem to enjoy it. Thanks for playing and if I do a major update to this (as opposed to a sequel) I will mos-def adjust the gameplay. Thanks for playing too! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim
Anyone know any tricks to get a 100 combo. Finding it not possible within the confines of the game, and would really like that shiny kongpanion.
PS, why do these horrible App ports get put in challenges? Is there some form of kickback from the makers for the App advertising?
It's a good premise, but the slippery, lagging controls, the time wasted between levels, the lack of puzzle difficulty, all just knocks down the score. It's There is Only One Level, with less puzzles, and you say multiple times, no more help, but then the next level tells me how to beat it so it loses difficulty. Every time I died or restarted, had to do with unresponsive controls, not thinking the wrong thing.
The game lags the more special blocks on screen. The spikes hitbox counts the sides and bottom. The controls seems sluggish at times, like the inputs take a tad too long to register.
I can't even begin to explain to you why that's stupid.
