undefined's other games are better. In those games I could usually get halfway through the campaign before I needed to look for hints on how to beat levels but on this one... I can't get passed the SECOND level even with a fully maxed gauntlet. It's too easy to misclick & sell your heros, needs to have the confirm prompt added. I'll go back to playing the first Protector until they fix it so that you can beat more than level 1
Some nice improvements over the first one, did notice the same issues & downsides are other posts. I play these to waste time without putting much effort or thought into them. The first game I was able to get through all 3 Game Modes without much challenge, this time around I'm having some trouble with the Heroic & Iron on a couple levels which I'm doing it on Casual. There's something wrong if beating a level on the easiest difficulty requires watching a youtube video or playing a cracked version. Normal & Veteran are there for anyone who wants the challenge, Casual should take little effort like the first Kingdom Rush.
It's nice to see difficulty levels for once but the Casual (Easy difficutly) should be exactly that. Iron Challenges on Casual shouldn't be much of a challenge instead half of them are a pain in the ass, simple fix would be to up the starting cash. Yes there are people who just want a casual game of slaughtering the enemy without worrying about losing or to test strategies for Normal & Veteran difficulties. There are others who share this thought & there's always someone who has a difference of opinion on what's "Casual", try to remember that this is Kongregate not Major League Gaming.
1,200 old brooms that can only deleted is ridiculous. There goes my plans of opening an overstock store called GrinnMart. I agree that keys would be a nice reward because having 100 chests that can't be opened with buying Kong Cash is just wrong, in the middle ages they'd just bust the lock with hammer or pull out Ye Old Trusty Lockpick.
Beating levels is so random & pure luck. I've beaten all the challenges on a different computer but cannot beat them here using the same strategies. I call bullsh1t. Looks like I'm copying the flash files from the other computer then I'm also looking for a hacked version.
How do you beat level 10 on Hard? I can't get through it without losing at least 10 lives no matter what strategy I try. Clearly it's not designed to be beatable.
The game is about strategy and placement. I agree that units should be able to level up without filling the barracks. One thing I did notice is that the skeletons who we all know are just bones, are hard to kill like they're wearing military grade armor. Clearly by other posts there are bugs needing to be fixed here.
It's a good game, shows promise. I beat it on Easy & Normal but Hard is a bit much. I get that it's supposed to be a challenge but how is a slaughter fairplay? I can't get past the 4th map. Once the gargoyle is unlocked in the last wave he just keeps slaughtering my guys as they spawn then the horde strolls right on through and game over. It doesn't matter how I set the skills, where I position my troops or what I upgrade. No tactic works other than say looking for a cracked version of the game and I shouldn't have to do that.
Guess I'll add to that. I understand this is a strategy game that's supposed to be a challenge but remember that a challenge can be overcome. Except that when it's a game, the Easy difficulty should not be a royal pain in the ass to beat. If players have to use a strategy guide, watch a walkthrough video or use a cracked version, then the designer made the game too difficult. Not everyone is at the same skill level, some people don't have the time to dedicate their full attention to the game and just want something simple & entertaining with little challenge to play as a time waster. Increasing the replayability & humor will keep more people playing it. Thoughts for the sequel.
There should be more upgrades available. Easy should have more starting money for anyone who just wants to play it, add a hard difficulty with less starting money for those who want the challenge. Re-playable with all upgrades would be nice.
It's a great game. It has good design, innovative idea with the build plots & rally points reminiscent of other RPG games like Age of Empires & Empire Earth, etc (I haven't played any pc games in a couple years) I agree that there needs to be target preferences & no limitations on towers for all levels would be helpful. One thing to remember is that not everyone who plays this is a tactical / strategic genius and just want to play the game. Easy should be just that. After struggling with a mission on Normal or harder for hours/days there is just something about being able to replay it on Easy to get some sweet revenge or if you just want a time waster that poses little challenge for the amusement (Worms!)
Came back to this to see if I could finish it since I hadn't played in a while but then remembered my progress was on a PC that's DOA. This is the one thing I HATE about Kong, they don't store it on their servers unless you PAY for some premium version. Two thumbs down & two middle fingers up
It would be nice if the stupid tutorial arrow over the start button would go away, you think by level 20 I'd know what it is. The option need t have a checkbox that allow you to disable tutorial help.
