So when you get the mode where your character doesn't die, you can try to trap you character (chose the stick guy who has the most hp out of the non Kreds) Go to the first bee/wasp level, I think level 2 in the last world. Set all the bees going and save some pulls but try to get yourself in an infinite loop, you will slowly level your character who's taking infinite damage slowly, and you can leave your comp on come back and see what level he is later.
Takes forever to get a character leveled up. Took me a while but I unlocked the "It Doesn't Hurt" Game mode. Went straight to the first bee level. I think my score on this level could be infinite if I just left it on. The bees don't die either.
A big problem I see is my bullets shoot the enemy until the corpse disappears completely, even if I already defeated it. I was able to beat the game on hard by upgrading first pistol, then upgrading last. I thought the +20% x 3 base healing was important.
I like the current amount of skill points amongst the trees. With 28 skill points you can hit the bottom skills. It requires 10 points in a tree to reach the bottom level x2, leaving points to fill in the last level of both trees. Just can't max out everything on the way. Such as... Ice tree: 2/3 winters might, 1/1 ice bolt, 2/3 frostbite, 3/3 icebolt frenzy, 2/2 glacial flow, 2/2 chilling winds, 3/3 Master of Cold. Healing tree: 3/3 Holy Grace, 2/2 Swift Retribution, 3/3 Miracle Healing, 3/3 Holy Wrath, 2/2 Chosen one, got me to the 6.5 minute mark in survival. machine gun ice bolt, basic ice nova control, and healing. I also can't think of any talent while looking at it that I consider useless, at least in a certain build.
Customizable talent trees make me happy. Anything that adds creativity to the gameplay of an rpg style game. Thanks. 5/5. -Ice is my favorite tree, mix with holy for machine gun ice bolts and crazy mana regen. nova to keep things from shooting and also self healing spell.
I suggest putting 3 points in run speed and 1 point in Destroyers' path in the beginning. At level 5 you will be able to do great AoE damage. Spend your gold on the 5g wall to lead enemies onto one path. I think it's the quickest way to get max xp on early levels. Later I prefer 4/5 2 Fast, 5/5 touch of Zeus, 1/1 Destroyer's Path, 5/5 Rattle Snakes Dance, 1/1 Rocket Launcher, 5/5 The Harder They Fall, 5/5 Double Tap. At this point you have 2 heavy forms of AoE damage, with a DoT on the launcher. Survivability is high due to the fact you kill everything so quickly.
Would also be cool to have reserve units that gain some xp that you could switch in and out in between battles. Being able to preview class upgrades or even the upgrade trees would be cool.
The lucky star counter attack is one of my favorite abilities, but it can screw me over if it finishes off the last enemy before the next wave, then the entire next wave gets to attack before the next turn. 5/5
