Is it just me or do the physics in this game just not work? Pirates can move diagonally but the swings and flings trigger orthogonally, making it impossible to ensure that they'll actually hit. So the only mover trap that works is the log roller.
A decent arena shooter ruined by being completely generic. A campaign/story mode? Terrain? Drones? anything! Why go through all the work of making a game, but set your sights so low?
Amazing, but the isometric combat view is just not doing it for me, and combat buffs wearing off is really annoying after the previous games. They still wore off when the character dies... they should have just been rebalanced to be less powerful. And there should be items that increase their effect (if there aren't; I'm not very far along).
OK team, we've taken the arena shooter model and cut terrain, AI, and any possibility for tactics other than flying around in circles, painted on a light coat of a setting and skipped a plot, made the bosses take a month to kill, and hired a 14 year old to draw the art.
Amazing that they managed to cram luck-dependence into a game that already has so many classical flaws. Not letting people know what's available to click isn't the same as difficulty! Would have done 1 star but I gave it 2 because at least it's pretty short.
