There is a light grey mask that goes over the abilities while they are in use. It's on our request list to consider making the mask more obvious, but a low priority at the moment.
When are idols coming out? or am I just REALLY unlucky? Great game, just wish there was a guide or at least a list of character upgrades and not just seeing them after every prior upgrade.
Idols are gained from resetting the world with Nate Dragon's level 150 ability. The guidebook in game has a rough summary of what happens. (It's under the "?" icon in the middle left of the screen.) Thanks for the feedback. I'll see where we can add more information.
