It may very well be that I just suck at this, but this has got to be the most hard game I've played in a long time. But besides, I love bullet hell games, and I loved this. I would only suggest a graphical improvement. And yes, I know this probably was part of the concept, but I feel like it has a great potential and better graphics could make it just more appealing.
Good game, but come on, fix those glitches. Several times I was frozen in place, getting my ass repeatedly violated by zombies. And one other time, the upper part of the character's body was still, even during attacks. Only his legs moved, and could not pick up things or do anything to "unfreeze" him, had to commit suicide. And from what I'm reading, I'm not the only one experiencing bugs.
Sort of brotip: Do not make any units. Just upgrade your mana pool and defend yourself using the bow, and upgrade your cannon and structures. When you're set, just spam spellcasting units (dryads, wizards and totems). They'll obliterate any resistance from the distance, and damage the enemy castle with the extra bullets. You might have problems with the enemy big waves, in that case hold until they get under your arrows, pop continual fire, wipe them, and go back to spamming.
Brotip: To gain slightly more speed, instead of taking big ups and downs, move the mouse in a little waves pattern. OR: Go down brutally, then suddenly up. You'll jump and not lose speed, and before you touch the ground drow another descent. They both worked for me.
It was AWESOME. The plot is funny, the music is catchy and the gameplay really is "There is no time to waste - go forward". Plus the guy's screams made me laugh like hell. Really brilliant game.
I was playing the first songs and I was like "God this game is boring and the music sucks". Then I got to the jap song and it cracked me up. 5/5 because it's actually challenging at hard difficulty.
Gah. When you perform a power smash and the nerd hits a mine, a spider, or something else, the power smash is wasted. And when he flies at millions mph, you can't really see where he's gonna land. Need to be fixed. Otherwise, excellent game. Really funny and the soundtrack is AWESOME.
And this Charlie Brown, is what boredom is all about.
Seriously? Walk, jump and climb in lazy graphics? No fights, same gameplay over and over?
At least in the robot series you had to unlock powers and things to do to battle bosses.
If you are a mutant, fill the shapeshifting tier and the combat one. When you are in demon + beast form, + passive abilities, with any weapon you might be wielding, it's almost always a 1 shot 1 kill.
It's been 4 damn hours, I'm at level 32 without walkthrough, and it's mind blowing. But for some reason it's so satisfying. You sir have created an excellent game.
Good game, damn good. But it needs some way, tho I can't suggest any, to get rid of the stupid leap of faiths which brings you on the spikes. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but it happened every-single-time.
Good game, but sorta unbalanced. The more you progress in the game, the less you can use melee units, 'cause one single wave of flyers can kiss your ass goodbye. And really, latest missions have plenty of flying units, so you'll never go melee. And that's too bad 'cause reapers are AWESOME.
