hard badge is not that hard, when you reach about 110 000 points it gets easier, just dosify the bullet time and the bombs when u are in trouble. Also make a good use while avoiding of the "fix direction of fire" and it should be no problem
first try on normal, I get 17 points to upgrade (if i remember correctly) that's more than half of the upgrades posible!!! second time I try normal i get to level 86, I have enought to full upgrade everything and still have 16 unspent.... that's way too fast
i played yesterday, I voted up the "smack in the face" top 5 comment, today I tryed again level 10 because I couldn't believe it was impossible, then realized I could choose where to cut the tentacles to move then much faster....
bug: just build a watch tower, no troops, then it gets stuck a monk or an archer trying to destroy the town, but until you dont kill it, the computer doesnt send more troops, but since its only 1 troop doing 2 o 3 damage every hit... you dont need to worry, just upgrade everything to the max, then get an army half generals half high priest, and win
when you unlock a weapon, you can reset and you will keep the weapon. Commando tree is unfair on the medals because he gets damage using the knife often. Use destroyer at the begining, later doesnt really matter, i could say engineer is better but you dont have almost any trouble when reached max level, that is way too fast, before you complete half of the levels
