Zoom level effects gravity well strength. By zooming way out you can effect multiple asteroids and send them careening around at breakneck speed, zooming way in has the opposite effect. You can only affect one or two asteroids as they pass through you field of view. Also when zooming way in you can see the "fabric" of space being distorted by your gravity well because of the grid laying over it.
I love the Carrack. Ever since I started playing this game, everytime I see a new ship in a port. I look it up. The developer seems to have put a lot of research into the designs.
(1)Maybe add some personalization, sail color, sail emblem and hull color. I love games with at least a basic level of personalization. :) (2)Ability to brake. (3) Get rid of that damn App Store button, I still can't figure what it's covering up: a kill counter, a reputation meter, the in game date and time? Something is back there. (4) Some explanations would be nice, what with the survival mode at the beginning? I just felt kind of thrown into it with no idea what was happening or why.
@Bordock, ages ago I had the same problem, multiple computers and the arrow keys always seemed to stick while playing this game and others. I eventually found out it had something to do with with Internet Explorer, so I switched to Mozilla Firefox and I've never had that problem again, Google Chrome will also probably work.
What we need now is a Steambirds 3 that combines the best elements of the first two. The Mission style from the first game, in which you fought increasing difficult battles separately, and the customization element of this game. Being able to pick your own plane instead of always using the same one.
I've played this game before, but I got a new computer, so I had to start over. 1 minute into my "first level" an oozle formed and I went after it. Then it evolved into a gray and I was like "Oh Sh*t!" so I start dueling it trying to hit it at the right moment. Then a biter jumped on me from off screen. -_-
Cool concept, needs some background and foreground art, not just the gray infinite plain.
Also, some movement control might be cool, like to duck, lie down or jump manually. I think it need's to be longer, with more enemies.
And I love games with character customization, something as simple as being able to pick your own name and color scheme does a lot for a game. (For example: Dragon Fist 3, http://www.kongregate.com/games/DJStatika/dragon-fist-3-age-of-the-warrior?acomplete=dragon+fi .)
Wow all the stupid challenges, make this so much more frustrating that the original game. No fun at all, only rage. Now that i got the Physics pack badge i never wanna play this game again.
The tuning dial bugs me. The number it lands on doesn't seem to really mean anything. I think it should just be a plain button, maybe with the video number I'm currently guessing/watching. I'd really like to know which video I'm on out of the 60, so I know when the end of the round is coming.
Does need a mute, a little buggy, but I really like it. Anybody know where I can get the "Power Blast" special attack? It's the only one I can't find and it's driving me crazy.
This dev has to be a fan of Bleach! XD If not he should be. Ceros flying around, me firing what looks suspiciously like a Getsuga, A superstrong horned skeletal monster, superspeed sword battles, slaying monsters, a king with a massive god complex.
