The only major change I would make would be dual gems. I would rather make dual gems weaker in terms of damage and range, and stronger in terms of specials. Combining gems is the most fun when abilities are kept more or less intact.
I seriously believe a lower level of dual gem ability nerfing would greatly benefit the game. Still, the game gets five stars.
Awesome game, but it needs a few tweaks. Red gems need a noticeable level of splash, and it would be nice if red/yellow/lime gems had a useful effect when in traps.

Definitely want to take a look at whatever other critters you make.
Idea: turn this into a creature creator thing where you assemble links, select a head, place mouth and/or eyes, select color schemes, spikes, fins, arms etc, play with the creation, take a screenshot and make it an avatar/wallpaper.

Needs a dark background OR dark bullets. My eyes hurt when I try to dodge things I can barely see. There needs to be strong contrast/different coloring schemes for background, enemies and bolts.
Two all other people that don't like the short range and movement, this isn't your style of game. I've played other games and this is a different style, as opposed to outright worse. Not liking chess is fine, saying that it is a flawed game is mean. Not that this game compares to chess in any way, not at all.
Woah - a flash game that has a plot and cool Graphics! Can't say much about gameplay yet, only a short ways through, but wow - Cutscenes! Voice actors! This is fancy.
Nice game, well done thus far.
The strategy system (cities, terrain, buildings) is 3.5/5 stars. Enemy AI is 2/5 stars, could definetly use a more difficult AI that takes advantage of undefended territories and prepares against defended territories. Final boss gets 4/5 stars for beating me, maybe an extra half star for being a difficult (!) final boss.
3/5, pathfinding needs work, graphics need to be sharper(?), more big and cartoony and distinguishable and less burred and pale. I don't really know what it is, but something else needs to be added. This game feels incomplete, even if you added minor fixes. I can't say what this game is lacking, but it's there.
For ideas, maybe look at Battalion: Nemesis or similar games for ideas of what 'complete' feels like.
I LIKE it when enemies aim for weaknesses, else it would be too easy.
5/5, but in a possible patch and/or sequel (I can hope) should the relays be able to make new connections to towers after the original connection to the tower is destroyed? As long as the relay is in range it should be able to form a connection right?

This game is almost complete. It needs a few enhancements, but it's all there. Waves should consist of more than one kind of enemy and asteroid fields should have a wider variety of shapes (multiple asteroid fields, belts, square, rings, etc.)
This would be a good badges game, but the server is still buggy and might not handle the load.
Bonus pack comes from original site I think. Rumour last two come for money. Lame.
True, adding new cards could be a very bad idea, but harder challenges that allow better players to obtain 2 cards a week instead of 1 might be nice.
To be able to get away with adding another set of cards would probably entail changing the mechanics of the game, via more stats, extra range or whatever.
Instead of cards that are way too easy to get on challenges, why don't you add a "generation 2" set of cards that are gotten via challenges equivalent to a "hard" or "impossible" badge, while cycling through the old cards with easy challenges at the same time.
I'd like to be able to be proud of the cards I have obtained.
