Its a nice little motherload clone. Id say try to implement something to set it apart if possible.

This is just a demo. There will be 7 more locations in the full game. Each one will have its own unique mechanics and features, such as cold environment or some gravity shenanigans. So, there will be much more in the full version of the game)

Hard Working Man

After playing for a couple hours and feeling like I was missing something I realized that no, this game is just unbalanced. Pretty much any activity is worse than just gathering berries and sticks. Want to build a tool to save resources? Too bad, because the energy drain and raw material is more costly than selling berries and buying the tool. I wound up setting an autoclicker on berries and walking away for a few hours and STILL haven't managed to build the house or forge.

Developer Reply

Tools can also be created on the workbench located in the location with the house. It's also worth getting a tool upgrade level. All tools then have more durability. It is also worth building a garage first. You can renovate cars from the scrapyard there. You get a lot of money for them. When we build a garage, a notice board appears there. You can sell there the parts we created in the garage

This is a really good start in my opinion. I played for maybe 90 minutes last night then came back to it today for a bit more. If your able to continue it, I'd definitely look forward to a prestige mechanic. Also, maybe you can add a charging feature for your hold mouse over buttons. That way I could hold my mouse over the button for say 5 mins to "charge" it and it could stay active for an hour or something. Increases the idle aspect. Another feature I'd like is a "timewarp" either by utinlizing offline time or mana with a high cost. Good start though. Thank you for posting it.

"Thank you for posting it" Oh god, it's the first time when someone said that! Thank you very much, i will do my best! ❤❤

Ordinal Markup

Quick heads up. When you get to around base 4 or base 3, the game hits a wall. Be prepared to grind for many hours to pass that wall. Once you do it speeds back up.

You can speed up the manual part of each reset by clicking the increase ordinal button once then holding enter.

Potential pro strat. Get the fire set first thing. Pass some levels getting extra strength -you can even backtrack and hit another path- Then go full agility with maybe a wind set for the AGI buff.

Developer Reply

Yup you're latching onto some of my design intentions and it's really good to see :) Throughout the muddy UI/UX, there's a game underneath there where there's lots of intricate decisions and strats to make, and potentially cool builds like the one you have. PS. I don't actually know how broken Fire can get, especially combined with Fire-4. On paper I think it can really rocket up the Strength stat but at the cost of a lot of time.

I really like the premise behind this game. I expected an idle game but it pulled me right in with the fast pace and suddenly an hour had passed. There are a few minor issues though. First is the path choice. We need the ability to set a path and auto advance to it. As it stands, the game is too fast paced to juggle equipment decisions AND keep advancing. Added up I probably waste a good 20 seconds per run trying to get the good equipment piece instead of proceeding right away. The second issue I saw was that the sets don't seem to say what happens when you get a set. At least it wasn't obvious to me what it does. Maybe I missed something but you need a tooltip or something. Lastly, I think you need to make the attribute unlocks earlier or something. I just now realized I never unlocked intellect and I've been at it an hour. I'll keep playing now that I realized this because that might be what caused me to hit a wall.

Developer Reply

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you understood the premise right away! You're correct about the speed and I actually do agree with the overwhelming speed. Especially once set items are introduced, that makes it pretty hard to make an optimal decision in that timeframe. That speed and difficulty was intended by design since rapid loot selection is the heart of the game. With that said I can see the map juggling being a hell of a wrench when there's so much else going on so I'll definitely be looking into streamlining this whole experience. Btw it's actually not terrible to spend extra time in an area to farm up a bit. That's something I do often as a strategy. Good point about the set items, I did just push a fix for that so hopefully they show up now. The intellect stat is in the area with 3 sludges (Freaky Forest 5 will unlock it). Thanks for the stat pacing feedback, it's been a delicate balance between introducing stats without overwhelming the player.

Can you expand the mystery box reset description to clarify it resets the bonuses too? I wasted 300 epic coins on resetting it thinking I was only resetting the cost.

It's a cute game but the pacing feels off. I quite with all upgrades save the last gold bar and no crowns because there seemed to be a grind to get them but no payoff save a higher score. You can probably save time by saving and bypassing coins combos and magnets and just go for gold and rubies it seems. Still, was fun for a good 15 mins.

Developer Reply

Thanks for the feedback! Good to hear that it was fun. We were aiming to build a game you can beat in 5 minutes but maybe it's a little too long. Sounds like you quit just right before the end! Once you collect the crown you have beaten the game.

Fish Legend Fish

I really like this to the point I was severely disappointed when I had found every fish and realized there were no more. What I would really like to see is some boss fish that give special perks. Like really hard fish that make you really work to catch them. Like just take a bass and make it faster and give it way more HP and call it a whale. Same for swordfish and call it a shark. Also more fish in general would be nice.

Great ideas, you're in line with where I want to take this game!

Some sort of bug with pets. I was one shotting slimes then switched to my wolf pet. Suddenly I'm doing 4 dmg and switching back to the mole makes me do 3 dmg. Before clicking to level the wolf it showed str +20 I think and went to +5 after clicking.

You have a solid concept. Personally, I like for idle games to allow you to grind a bit then come back to it and watch your character suddenly be able to kill indiscriminately for a few levels. One thing I didn't care for was when humans came from above or below. Since they were physically closer to my demon, I couldn't get a shot in before they got to me. I'd like the chance to possibly take no damage during a level with the right preparation but that currently isn't feasible.

Thank you for your great feedback. I have just released an update for enemies spawning location, should fix that issue for you, let me know if it improved the gameplay for you :) In future levels, you can get to this point to take no damage, but it may take sometime

Around level 4 I farmed saved up and bought 10 levels of damage for my character. I left the waves on auto and went afk for around 10 minutes. Came back to the game being over and a bit let down I missed seeing the final boss or any other story bits.

Developer Reply

You can do the last level again and again as much as you want :) Im planning for next week an update with more levels and content.

SuicIDLE

Great premise, but the game is monotonously slow with too few design elements. For reference, Sandcastle Builder is a MUCH slower game but there's so much to do it doesn't bog down. The effect is your game seems to drag on worse than one of the slowest idle games I've ever known.

Once we get the ability to do multiple task as once, I'd like the option to lock a task in so it doesn't change. When I'm adventuring, it'd be nice if my wizard clone was permanently home eating children to keep my adventuring wizards frustration down. ~This blasted puzzle is so darn complicated....yet I have the most exquisite taste of orphan meat...I believe I'll press on.

For those who can't figure out how to get a potsource for potions. Buy the fireplace. It then unlocks the cook pot for potions.

Understanding the boost didn't translate well with me at all. I wound up not even putting boost on roughly 50% of the cells when I finished unlocking everything. The multiple paths for some unlocks should require both to unlock I think. It feels right. As it is, I only went back and unlocked the other paths once I had everything else. I really didn't feel any "chain" effect either. At one point I tried alternating time boost and production boost along a chain but there was no noticable feedback of any kind. Nothing visual or sensory to show it did anything other than a 5% displayed. It was underwhelming. Also, moving with the mouse button caused me to accidentally buy a boost upgrade. The only one purchased due to the disconnect with their function as it were. A right click to move would benefit here. Hopefully this comes off as constructive criticism because its not bad overall.

Developer Reply

Hey - thanks for that! Indeed, constructive criticism well received. I'm actually done completely revising the boost system for the 0.7 release, which should be coming out tonight or tomorrow. Among other things, it will make boosts drag-and-droppable onto individual connecting lines, rather than researches, hopefully making the whole thing a lot more intuitive than it is now. I'm also tweaking UI feedback - I absolutely agree with you that it's really rough around the edges in that department, and it'll see more work once I'm done hammering out the underlying game mechanics. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Scrap Quest

Really enjoy this concept. Got lost with it for a few hours. Still, you need an idle component such as auto embark. I wish very much that I could leave this for an hour and come back to stacks of scrap then laugh maniacally while I send in a super powerful tank to raze the lands....but alas, no such luck.

Incremental Adventures

Solid idle. Good prestige mechanic. I'd like to see a stats page and maybe an achievements page. Just some numbers showing how many resets/prestige points earned/lifetime damage ect; and some achievements because the shot of endorphins from just numbers going up is only so much. Gotta add in some letters and sentences now and then to really get the dopamine going.

Your achievements need hints, even just some obscure bit would help give you something to shoot for. Also, not sure if its a bug but I progressed right through wave 3 and kept going to 5 to try and get a higher prestige multiplier but it stayed at x3. The next time I went to wave 5 it went to x4.

ok it. thanks
