Advancement is not balanced well. I have idled for the past 30 hours and will need another several days before my hobbies allow me to work the jobs or have the stats that any of the girls currently require of me for the next advancement. A game that you can't play more often than each few days is not one that will keep people coming back. As a player I want to interact with an idle game in a meaningful way every couple hours in the mid game, and at least once a day in the late game. I'm only 3 days in, and it will take me a long time to get to 15 buff and whatever else I need for Sports job.
No I completely agree there's not much in there at this point to continue retention unless ppl are fine checking in every other day... We'll be digging into balance and pacing very soon! We really appreciate that you've already spent 3 days with it :D
Energy Emitters are a bad version of Accumulators... Seems like it should be changed or tweaked. Why do I even care to make fiberglass if I can just make a better version of it for a resource I have plenty of?
The game claims it autosaves, so I took it at it's word. Hit the refresh button after running all night... All data gone. Empty map, and no way to get it back.
Probably i should put notice about importance of backups closer than it's now. I'll try to make it more clear while i'm trying to figure out what going on with saves. But, same as with gray screen, it works for me. On both PC and several browsers, so i need more details to find a problem. As for your save, i'm afraid i can't restore it, but i can make something similar for you, if you pm me what did you had.
It somehow completely lacks the charm of the original game. I think sound design is partially to blame, but none of it really feels improved, either. An upgrade tree doesn't enhance the experience... And there was something very satisfying about the mwup-ZAP sound that happened in the first game.
This was an amazing game, right mix of thinking and button clicking, voice acting was phenomenal, the difficulty was perfect, and the time it takes in a single play-through was exactly right. (I was about to quit on a level I was getting stuck on, saw on the menu it was the last level, and went ahead and bore down on it to finish.) Very solid 5 stars!
ARGH! My levels aren't advancing... It'll let me go through them, if I hit enter... But -- the level selection screen isn't working. It doesn't count my progress.
Really? The game has to cheat and jump from 300 bunnies in wave 24 up to 9999 bunnies at wave 25? What's so hard about coding a loop that just adds more every level?
Don't want to be a hater, or anything... But all this was was a lackluster platformer with some interesting window trappings. It didn't feel like Shadows of the Colossus to me... Just some platforming that happened to be on a big boss dude... 2/5
A further comment: Most of my problem with the physics is that nearly the instant you lose your upward momentum you fall too far to fix your problem. Make it just a tad more forgiving so that grabbing something in the lower quarter of the screen should be able to save you.
I REALLY like the concept, but it runs a little too fast to be able to do anything that I'd call skill -- it's mostly just frantic clicking. Just a little bit of a physics adjustment and I'd say this would be great. :)
