Nice twist on a classic game, I'm just confused a bit as to the rules of the game...I understand you gain points of the computer misses, and lose points if you miss, but when does the game end? I don't see any visual indicator of when the game is over...Other than that, a neat twist.
Correction, it does subtract off 10 points, sometimes. Also, if all scores are +10 points/-10 points, why have it 10 points at all? Isn't that the same as 1 point? Maybe do something like each level, the point value increases a bit, or as you get further into the level, it scales up to higher points. Just a thought.
Neat game, different from anything I've seen, but has a few bugs to work out. 2 I can think of off the top of my head: 1) You don't get a penalty for guessing wrong answers (should subtract score) 2) There are a few screens where the text is cut off at the bottom (reduce font size, or make the text boxes larger). Other than that, a great start to a fun game. Also, I'd look into adding Kong's API, makes a game MUCH better, as people can then compete and compare scores. :)
Area 1 - I had Wave 14/12 and then when it switched to Wave 15, it completed. Also, I had 3 skill points to spend when I first loaded up, and after completing area 1, I had none at all. Still a great beta and it's getting there, just needs some more work.
I loved this game...until I came back to it. Without a save feature, I would have easily given this game a 4/5 (and was considering 5/5). But, as others have pointed out, more upgrades would have made it a higher score, and without a save feature, sorry, I can't justify anything higher than 3/5. If this gets added, I will gladly update my rating on this game, as I do love it, but I don't want to have to replay it from scratch each time I want to try to get the final badge, sorry.
Update: Yep, appears to be just this game that's not loading for some reason (very odd, as it doesn't appear that a new version has been uploaded recently). Ah well, time to find another game to play tonight. :)
Was working just fine last night, not working for me today, nothing changed on my system. Getting the "black screen of death" like others (movie not loading). Not sure if this is true of all games yet on Kong, or just this one (first game I've tried to play so far).
I seriously hope this was meant as a joke, because, this is complete garbage. Flagged, hope you get a warning for posting the same garbage twice in a row too....
@Stratplayer: Badges are not decided by you (or anyone) asking for badges, and especially not by spamming their email inboxes with requests for badges. This game is supposed to get badges, but currently, there is a problem with the API setup of the game. Greg is working with the Developer to get this game working correctly with the badge system, and get badges setup for the game. Hopefully, that will happen soon, but it won't happen any sooner by everyone asking/begging/hollaring they want them...If you want up-to-date info on the badges, read the forums, this is where Greg posted about this game getting badges, and the issues that arose when he wanted to setup the challenges/badges.
2 points for it being a game, -1 point for no risk, no reward....1/5. Next time, please play the game before you upload it, and realize that without a chance of losing somehow (timer, ducks attacking, something to present a risk), it will never become a game anyone will play beyond 5 seconds...
I agree, the game's title is a little on the boring side...the game on the other hand, is one of the best flash games out there. 5/5 for a great game, can't wait until the badges get added!
I've been looking for a good fishing game for my cousin for a long time, so I wanted to check this out. The graphics are amazingly great for a flash game...sadly, the game play is a little on the boring side right now. I hope this is something that will be worked on/improved upon. The concept is there for a good fishing game, it just needs to be a bit more challenging. 3/5 for a great start! Keep up the great work!
Cool demo, has great potential. Looks great, is in line with being a good tower defense game...only suggestions I would make, are of course, finish it, and get better background music, and either allow upgrading of the towers, or selling the towers. Anyhow, great start, look forward to seeing more on this.
1 point for it being a game (yes, it's actually a game by my definition), and 1 point for it being your first attempt at a game. 2/5, good start, keep at it, it'll get better. Play the game, fine tune it, upload a new version, it will pay off, and you'll learn a lot that way too.
By far, one of the best flash games I've played in a LONG time. Now that I've maxed out everything, alas, I'm done with it, but it's still a great game. Not too hard, challenging, good graphics, good sound, and upgrades and trophies...great combination for a great game! 5/5!
Okay, is it just me, or is Cerberus just way too random in what he does? I have him beat almost all the time, but then he does something completely random, throws off his "pattern", and it's game over. I'm finding this game more and more frustrating, something a game (entertainment), should not be...
Minimalist style is one thing...having scenes where there's no background (ie, ground, hills, etc.) so you can see what you're standing on, well, it just reminds me of Atari 2600 games that sucked, sorry. 2/5 so far, unless I can really find some sort of redeeming quality...
