what happens if both the president and the vice president die?

Developer response from delosford

Nothing special. The vice-president succeeds the president and appoints a new vice-president. Then the president dies again, and gets replaced by the vice-president.

other than the possibility of giving someone enough money to assasinate a vip do grey bills have any noticable affects on the nation?

Developer response from delosford

All bills affect the nation.

so how does this win bill tthingy work? we vote to intensify over and over until it passes or vice versa to stop it?

Developer response from delosford

Not exactly. Moses just committeed it straight away. It works much like a normal bill, but conference committee has a different function that's essentially for even having a chance at passing it. It can also be used to "salvage" a failed attempt, in a manner of speaking. It'll probably be easiest to just watch how stuff plays out.

does increasing/decreasing defense funding actually affect defense?

Developer response from delosford

It will do so very soon.

ossu abolished the maximum wage and now he's trying to bring it back, there should be an achievement for that

Developer response from delosford

He didn't exactly abolish it. If you see someone on the wrong side of a binary on the list, it means the court struck down the bill. I may indicate this differently in the future.

if someone releases an auto erotic asphyxation scandal to the press what does it say in the daily clout?

Developer response from delosford

"Autoerotic Asphyxiator" if I recall.

would i be correct in saying that a quick scandal coverup covers up anything in the basic store, a thorough one covers up anything in the black market and the 50k one covers up anything in skullduggery?

Developer response from delosford

not quite, no. Quick coverup isn't that crappy.

i think it would be funny to be able to get campaign contributions to introduce other parties win bills "introducing fund everything has cost you ALL your constituent support"

Developer response from delosford

unfortunately, such a thing would be much more likely to just uselessly take up a slot for a while, which is why binaries and win conditions don't show up there.

how about another type of chat, where you can change who sees what you post.

Developer response from delosford

I have plans to add a global option to hide all your posts from other users that you specify. People have requested this to reduce the "spies" in the team/party posts.

@ delos, so assasinating VIP's pretty much has no benefit unless you like seeing red colours in place of the assasinated persons name.

Developer response from delosford

Ummm... no? The VIPs affect bills in various ways. The alignment of the supreme court and attorney general affects legal challenges. The alignment of the president affects what gets vetoed. The alignment of the secretaries of state/defense will affect foreign relations. By assassinating VIPs, you change the outcome of all these events.

there should be a limit to being able to get addicted. e.g. you must take a minimum of 6 doses of freebase cocaine or 3 doses of regular cocaine.

Developer response from delosford

I don't see that adding this would add anything meaningful to gameplay, and it would require tracking something that the game doesn't currently track.

what effects can assasinating VIP's do?

Developer response from delosford

Um... it kills the person you target, or it fails and doesn't.

why is it that public health is dropping so rapidly? i havnt seen any large amount of bills that would detriment public health recently...

Developer response from delosford

Hard to say. Various bills affect that stat, so it's likely that a large number of non-conferenced bills simply added up.

filibuster should probably he harder to do on win/binary bills, otherwise someone may filibuster a win bill which would be very unfair, plus binary bills its also unfair

Developer response from delosford

You're basically asking for me to remove filibuster from the game, because its only real purpose is on binary bills. Win bills work like regular bills. There is also an energy cap that stops it from being particularly unfair (at most, you can only filibuster for about 2.5 hours in a stretch by yourself).
