I miss my fortress letting me to fight with my team, but great game,
just hated the fact that actually let the hero without move, is better than really use it

Tips to not fail on hard badge:
if you need money do the automatic quests, if you need lp hunt.
try to every month hire the 6-8 avaible students, if u dont need then, just sell then after it.
the sorcery(mage who uses fire damage) deals 500-600 damage, so yes, is the most stronger one, atk with her on the other side of the river, will kill, and they wont atak you(unless beeing a ranger)
finally, the hidden botton is on credits, f5, go to credits and click on the tittle there :)
