How do you gain the "Monsters killed in a row" amulets?! I've finished off 23 waves all at once and didn't even get a silver one, how the heck do they work?!
The fact monsters have different ranges is seriously frustrating. I could hold Centaurs and Dragons off with my crossbow, but once my Hobbit/Elf rush reached the castle and one spawned, they were screwed since they couldn't even touch those guys. The same thing even happens with Ogres sometimes. He stands out of range and pummles my units.
The last boss is absurdly more difficult than the previous 3. Not to say it was too hard, just unbalanced. It doesn't leave much room for a learning curve.
Move, I think that the problem is that you're playing on Hardcore mode.
As far as I could tell, Glooples you've never encountered won't show up if you're playing on Hardcore mode. Try setting it to normal and playing through the nest.
MaraMash, levels are hardly ever exactly the same. On Ptero Storm sometimes you get the waterfall mountain, sometimes you don't.
On Raining Lizards sometimes you get the Rinch egg, sometimes you don't. That's how the speed runs work.
You get Planet D by beating Insane Challenge mode.
Planet D is insane, by the way. Low gravity (?) and it rains Stegos and Triceras. There was a point where I flew for like 20 seconds after jumping off a mountain. Loads of fun.
Haha, I got the Rinch egg on Planet D, couldn't get it otherwise.
You doomsurf by waiting for the wall of doom to be near you. You get awarded extra points, and the doomsurf achievements for time spent near the wall of doom *IMPORTANT* with the exclamation mark above your head.
The 10 second boulder ride is easy.
On High Rollin' you end up with a slightly moving boulder right near the cave entrance. If you run through it fast enough, you have enough time to move right and left on the boulder and get the 10 second boulder ride.
I ended up getting the 4x Dactyl Chain on Minefields. It's a tricky one since you need to get really lucky.
Johnofjack, the same thing works for red dactyls, power up flowers and critters. Though critters are the hardest to time it with. Especially since they slow you down if you step on them.
How do you get the monsters-in-a-row amulet?
I've been sending 30 waves at once, and killing them all (End-game) and getting NOTHING. Not even the 30 monsters-in-a-row amulet.
If you manage to get to level 4 (The spear) and then kill the bearded head when it's up against the left wall, you can keep it pinned, racking up a massive combo, reaching level 5, and killing it in no time at all.
ADD A RESTART LEVEL BUTTON. It gets REALLY frustrating.
Especially with the secret level at the end. >_> It takes 6-7 minutes to get there every time, so you could at least save us the frustration.
