Though I think the patent and copyright laws need to be overhauled, I am bothered by the use of another's intellectual property in this manner. That being said, though unpolished, this game is fairly good, with a refreshing use of different strategies. Get Notch's stamp of approval and polish it up some and this game could be really good.
For putting CYOTD in the title so we all know, I gave you a much higher rating. I wish others would do the same. I love tower defenses, but I don't always feel like playing the CYOTD version.
I will give you that it's different, and here that's a good thing. However, there's several issues and bugs that need to be addressed:
1. An explanation needs to be given about the levels. It could be straight forward and buggy, or there's more going on (I'm referring both to the numbers that change by themselves and the number on the monster vs the trap not matching)
2. An explanation on why traps disappear after a time, even if the monster doesn't out-match it. If it's a timer, than that should be included, but I don't think that's it.
3. I know this is just a beginning, but some things I'd like to see would be: More trap placement, a skill / level type system, trap combinations, and maybe some different maps.
