I saw penguins on the thumbnail and came running. The graphics are cute; the gameplay reminds me of the old TV games I used to play with 8bit graphics and stuff. I guess the Undertale Snowdin music is fitting enough, not sure if that's allowed but no matter. The very large resolution is very offputting, though. Even at a browser fullscreen, this game won't fit within the browser, making it hard to plan out moves and focus on the two characters at the same time. Not only does this game overload you with cuteness, but also overloads you with a large game screen resolution! heh well. I feel like it might be more enjoyable if it actually did fit onto my screen.
The art really comes through in this. It looks like a collage; the graphics look "paperlike" to me. This a defense game, it seems; I like the concept. I'm not sure about the whole rainstorm wave, but when my flower was down to one petal, a rainbow appeared, so I'm not sure if I had beaten the game or not. My tab also indicates that sound is playing on this game, yet I hear no audio. So I'm not sure if that is a mistake of my browser or there just is no sound.
Nice music; good beats, loopy bass. I love the variety in the various tracks; they seem a little uncohesive when put together though. I like the sound effects when you beat a level (the magnet sounds like one of those machines they use at the dentist), and the art is cute (albeit the spikes look really out of place in comparison to the other art). Level 8 was where things were starting to get evidently glitchy, with the blocks going through each other and my large blocks suddenly flying away. Overall, the concept is very good though.
I liked the parts where the man had to follow the steps of his lover over a pit of spikes. The death sound effects are a bit too loud, though, as well as the friction is a bit wonky. And it would have been nice for the player to be able to move immediately when a level starts. Maybe even have the pink NPC move faster such that the player cannot reach them each time. Gotta say though, that ending...what was up with that?
Really sorry about the game sprite not showing properly. :( But the rest of the art is quite nice, if I may say so myself. :P Lettering and credits are a very nice touch. I would argue that there is still some form of enjoyability, even when playing as a tall white rectangle.
yeah, the end of game is appearing the rainbow and it's a silent game.
