My progress will not save; everytime I close the browser all data is lost. I'm definitely logged into my kongregate account. Using firefox, if that is relevant.
I'd really like to play this game, but it is obviously unplayable if progress doesn't save.
Great game. BUG: The text at the bottom of the screen when I open crates indicates many more color crystals than are reflected in my stats window from opening the crates. I don't know which is correct.
One of the major losses in excitement in the late game is how exp works. Early on, you could achieve a new level by inching forward with your buildings. Once you get past level 11 or so, the only times you level are when you get the bonus exp purchases in the office. This makes the bonus exp office purchases function exactly like yet another x3 profit multiplier, and downgrades the enjoyment of the game a LOT. I'm forced to reduce my rating from 5 stars at this point.
Hmm... I thought the Blood of Kumon bonus would work like Rebirth, giving you a 20% bonus to your colony influence when resetting. However, it seems to work slightly differently, giving you a direct bonus to your civilization score. While there two are effectively the same thing, you may want to clarify the language so that people don't make the same mistake that I did.
Notes on the Royal Blood of Kumon: Birth rate, free hero, offline progress of religions definitely work. 20% more colony points does NOT work (tested). I'm not sure whether production and army bonuses work; I foolishly didn't check my production levels before purchasing.
BUG: The first achievements for the barracks, arena and castle literally do nothing, since they set the achievement multiplier to "1", which is already the default multiplier. I imagine they are meant to set it to 1.5, like the achievements for the gold buildings.
BUG! Multiplier from world conquests is not reset when you delete your save. Damnit, now I'm going to have to reset my save again from the beginning once it's fixed :(
I keep trying to delete my save, because that I think will be the only way to actually enjoy the new version of the game (from the beginning), but it won't let me do it. I click yes the first three times, but the last "yes" button to confirm save deletion is not clickable!
Two more bugs/oversights:
One, you can see the climate type of a planet in the planet list, even if the planet has not been explored.
Two, if you use the global settings to apply harvest/supress to all planets, then it will apply to planets that are not explored yet. This is important in cases where life spontaneously generates on unexplored planets.
These are minor things; amazing game.
In terms of the gold gained versus the gold spent, the latter countries are VERY valuable, while conquering the early countries does not turn a profit. This is because the gold gained scales up by 1.5 for each successive country, while the gold cost to conquer scales up by less (after the first few) Thus, it's optimal to skip conquering the weak countries entirely. I'd recommend either changing the values of the early countries, or forcing the player to conquer them in order, so that the early countries are not just ignored.
One of the things you should consider for a purchasable upgrade (I mean something you can buy with kreds/real money) is a "re-skinning" of the "dark knights"/"demons" to something good-aligned. I know it seems silly, since it's just a game, but it makes me just slightly uncomfortable to be buying blood sacrifices and such. Thus, if there was an option to spend 10 or 20 kreds to make it something angelic/good, I would do it, both to support the game financially, and to avoid that discomfort.
Fun game. I have to say, though, seeing the multipliers, since the achievement multipliers are additive with the DK multipliers, the achievement multipliers are pretty useless and disappointing. Dark knights multiply me by x100 or so, and achievements bring that up to like... x108. A whole 8% increase. So, I would suggest altering that in some way so that achievements are more meaningful.
They are useless later on but they help a ton to get you started. If they were increased, getting started would be too fast, if they were removed getting started would be impossible. We will be adding 9 more achievements upon our game's continued success later on and those 9 achievements will give a lot more to multiplier than 2 you can be sure of it (since they were will take much longer to get)! <3 Taiga
Heya, the system for offline charging has been rewritten and it should work fine now!:) Many apologies for the trouble!
