To be honest I found this game a bit, well, bland. The art was nice, but lacked a certain charm these kinds of games need. The music felt in place, but was kinda forgettable. Though I find that very common in games. The story was a variation of the 'protagonist from dull reality travels to fantasy land, has an adventure and learns a lesson about life' kind that needs a bit more to it to really work for me. I did like the puzzles, even if they were a bit simple since there really wasn't much to do. The desert puzzles with the different colours were definitely my favourite. The game certainly wasn't bad, and I never felt like I was wasting my time, but it was just kinda average.
I really liked EBF3 and I'll assume this is just as good, but one of the first things that come to mind is that there is an option to use either keyboard or mouse to move around, but why can't you use both at the same time? I don't like having to go to the options menu every time I'd like to switch from keyboard to mouse or vice versa.
A good advice for people who don't like to have to be pixel perfect with your mouse is to start the fold some distance away from the paper where you're actually folding. You will have to drag your mouse a bit longer, but you don't have to be nearly as accurate.
Good game. The puzzles were unique and reasonable except for the snail song, where was kinda annoying to get the right order, unless there was some clue that I missed.
You know, this whole drag to aim and determine force doesn't work all that well when you can make the game really small in the top left corner and then drag the mouse to the bottom right corner to get ridiculous power.
This is possibly a quite nice game. But I'm not going to bother with a game which uses wasd + ctrl + mouse for general combat and no option of changing the controls. Also, there should be hotkeys for shops and other menus.
Strangely addictive little game. But I have to wonder if that Breathtaking Flying award works properly, or if it's just very precise. I have all awards, but not a single point in that award and I have almost run out of oxygen a bunch of times.
Really nice game, but you don't get any XP at all from lost battles and you get half XP from repeated battles. Those things only seem to make things take longer rather than adding anything good. Also, the choice of units was a bit too skewed towards sword and spear wielders. But even with those things, and a few other minor things, I'd give this game 4/5.
This would be a great game if not for the at times very finicky physics (some characters like to stand on their nose at the drop of a hat), the inconsistency of the tick tack trick (or maybe I just don't get it), and that the opponents seem to get upgraded as you do, making the upgrades mostly useless.
While I really liked the first Doodle God (and Doodle Devil), it had one problem; the fun kinda ran out towards the end of the game. In this game the fun runs out at about the same time, which is in late chapter one. Sure, there is a small boost when you get to chapter two, but it doesn't last long. So, sorry to say, this game is like Doodle God 1, plus some needless filler that only makes the game worse.
Two things. 1, you really need to be able to buy more than 30 chests; it feels like you have to constanly push the buy 30 tea button to be able to get enough tea in time by the end which eliminates a large bit of buying tactics. 2, the game needs a restart button. All games should have one.
I liked this game. I'ts both better and worse than Doodle God in different ways. It requires more dragging objects than DG, and I kinda miss those funny but otherwise useless combinations like rock + rock = rock + rock + fire. The list of new things you're able to create takes away a lot of the trial and error, but also removes some of the fun in discovering what elements are in the game. Also, using paint to make black and white animals got old after the first two or so. All in all, a good game. 4/5
I like this game, even if it was just a little bit too repetititive in the end. My favourite characters to use were yellow dragon for the high HP, flying and shock attack; the demon for flight, fire breath and a smaller sprite; and the flies for pure speed while still being able to kill stuff fairly easily.
It would be too hard to debug.
