sorcerer - I agree! I've won BOTH badges and i'm still trying to get a high score. Actually it was this game that drew me to Kongregate in the first place!
All right, i'm really upset right now. After working on this thing for WEEKS, I FINALLY beat level 30. And I don't get my badge. WHY!? why why why why why?! D:
I think that it would really improve this game if it had some kind of way of previewing the golden chests, or at least, if you don't choose to use anything on it, save it for later.
That was adorable, the graphics were very well done and I liked how stylistic they were. Perhaps a bit too easy, though, and not enough varying factors thrown in to spice it up. Sometimes, if the button was held down as the level progressed, the kissing "ding" sound kept ringing.
This game is addicting, as well as a novel idea. My only quip is that it is very difficult to keep one's eye on the cruiser when distracted by all manors of flashing and blinking lights. Maybe another method of showing bonus points would help. Something less distracting, preferably. Also it would be very helpful to have a counter at the bottom of the screen so that one can track one's progress.
Gah, I hate the turrets! They always screw me up.
This game reminds me of those idle childhood days of balancing a blow up beach ball on the airflows of a furnace.
Wow, this is surprisingly fun. I normally hate fighting games, but you did a really good job integrating different genres of games into one masterpiece.
It's hard to control the clown. The controls are a bit loose, is what I mean. And why is this listed with sports? I like the graphics though, abiet a bit gory.
it is way too easy to lose balance when jumping; a sort of "magnet attraction" between person and ground would be nice. When ever I jumped, I fell over. The controls are a bit sloppy.
I remember playing this awhile back! Quite relaxing and enjoyable, especialy when almost ready to go to bed.. just watching all of the dots explode in a chain reaction is so beautiful. I love this game.
It's a nice concept, with relaxing music. I don't much like the mouse movement, though, and the dificulty curve seems too high. I don't like the fact that the colored orbs are harmful if you don't shoot them or turn around, exposing yourself to gray orbs.
No matter how hard I try with this game, it's just too hard. Seriously, how can anyone get this badge? Maybe I'm just missing a technique or some other secret to playing.
Just a few more things (hah, I can't seem to shut up.)
In the last level, the all gray one, it reminds me of Harald and the Purple Crayon (an old children's book, where a kid with a crayon draws his world and it becomes reality.) Falling off of the edge of spindly lines, half drawn surfaces on that bleak gray surface. OH! And the floating "pie crusts" (I know they are probaly levitating mounds of dirt, but to me they sort of look like mincemeat pies.) Anyways, I really like them; they are really fun to jump on and then be whisked upwards. Just amazing. I think that's it. Keep up the good work!
When Fancypants is sliding down the grassy knoll I can't help but think how slippery the grass must be. Like, plastered down with rain and then trampled by moose hooves slippery. What would happen if diffrent types of ground had diffrent textures? Just a thought. Sometimes it seems like fancypants is skating on a frying pan with butter tied to the bottom of his shoes. I.E. he gains momentum very fast; always running, never walking. Other times it seems like he is running in place, the ground so slippery that he can't get a grip on the surface. (just an observation; I have no problem with this.) All in all this looks so promising, and I can't wait to see the final product!!!
Ah, oops, and my apolgoies about the hair comment. I didn't read through to the end of the game's description. Also, I just had a great idea, after reading another comment. You know those sand games? What if you implimented some sort of gravity puzzles? Like the snail shell that you can kick around, something like that. Like that old board game, "mouse trap", where you have to manipulate various objects to result in a chain reaction, set off by jumping on or kicking something into something else (like kicking the shell into the cannon, that would in turn hit something to start a reaction.) Just a thought.
