Really.
This is supposed to be a strategy game, you don't have to have the "insert powerful card here" to win!
If you are looking for a game where everyone has all cards from the beginning, play poker, or whatever, but stop asking for free cards. Use common sense instead.
Great game, and it's ok just as it is. Raise the card drop and EVERYONE will have EVERYTHING, while the whole point of the game is being skilled with the cards you have.
Plus, you get a free card per week, which is more than generous.
And no, Kongregate should not allow a card repick. It's only your fault if you make a fool of yourself and choose randomly without playing some practice match.
What kongregate COULD and should do, though, is put the "Practice Match" button just near the "Pick starter cards" so that it's more visible and fools less players.
to kill the heroes, focus on the healer girl before she shields everyone (or you ll have to break shield with Duegan) then on the mage, then on the thief. keep the paladin for last. I had an easy time using emela's shocking rod and paralyze ability to stun every opponent, making them unable to act. Keep potions and phoenixdowns on each character just in case. And remember that if you use Mardek's Magic Shield on your members, a heal spell cast on them will be weaker as well. Good luck
