What am I doing wrong? I keep failing at the Russian mission. No matter how fast I try to be, or whether I shoot the guards or reason with them, nothing works.
Well, sorry to be the one to tell you, but the mute button doesn't work properly still. I've hit the button to turn off the music, and yet after a minute or two, it comes back on. I must have repeatedly turned the music off about fifteen or more times now. Please look into this problem. If I turn the music off, that means I want it off. Permanently. Thanks
OK, even with the gem, is there a way to beat the game instead of just tying? I'm stuck in this part and can't get out of it. This is very frustrating.
I really got a kick out of the beginning tale. Not the usual, "Oh woe is me, I'm stuck in a new land. I am lost, oh what do I do?" type of thing. Smart@ss interjections from the developers/narrator was great! Downside is the constant necessity to turn the music off on every screen. If I turn the music off, it shoud STAY off. Very annoying. 3/5 because of that miss from the developers.
FAIL! If I can't even pick a character name because EVERYTHING is taken, and I can't advance the screen without a character name, and the system is not set up to even suggest an alternative name that IS available, I'm not going to waste any further time on this game! I am not going to sit here and spend three hours looking for a character name that is available.
I got the contra code by entering the word, "Contra." So I guess there are two ways to unlock that achievement. However, I'm a little frustrated, because I completed the game, yet neither the 50% badge, nor the medium Badge of the Day badge was awarded. I have submitted a report for this.
Interesting and relatively nice game, but the keys stick when trying to jump in too close quarters. Also, the in game "instructions" should have been clearer. I did as the arrows indicated, but got stuck because it wouldn't say what to do after using the "up arrow" and the "z" key.
A pause button or save game button would be very helpful. I have to quit the game now, and I'm not sure I'm going to start over, so I probably won't be back.
@dpben & the developer, where the hell the walkthrough for some of these??? Big example: Cornered. I just cannot manage to figure that one out!!! I am definitely "cornered."
So you sacrifice yourself for a bunch of idiots who don't know how to eat wheat, but don't starve to death? Sorry, I'm just deeply annoyed because this game has potential, but doesn't really deliver.
Very nice game. My only frustration/complaint is that there needs to be better explanations of things, especially where badges are concerned. Mostly in the "Diamond Badge." What are "Diamond Stars," and how do I go about getting them? I thought they were the progress stars for how many kids you save, but since completing the game and earning all the stars, and the badge is still saying I have no diamond stars, I'm more than a little confused!
OMG! I FINALLY beat the Big Boss. 2/5 for the sheer frustration of having to do that level over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and, well, you get the picture.
Level 3 is impossible to succeed at. I came the closest ONCE with 97%, and couldn't get near there again. 2/5 because at least with Shopping Street, I had a chance of eventually winning!
So, wait a minute, you lose ONCE, and the game is over? That makes no sense. Why not allow for rebuilding, making your armies stronger for the next battle? SOMETHING! But for the game to just be over? 2/5 for that! This game actually had the potential prior to that, of being like Caesar II, a game I HIGHLY miss, but even in that game, if you lose a battle, you still continue on with building your city, and rebuilding your army!
OK, I'm just curious to know why, as my tech points build up, the little arrow says it's going down? Doesn't make much sense that tech points in fact, go up, but the red arrow tries to say it's decreasing. Also the scrolling lag is quite irritating. It would make things a lot easier if you could "grab" and move with the mouse.
