I'd recommend getting rid of lives and whatever causes me to not being able to collect the green gem. Especially since you only lose a life when you actually die from spikes, not from just restarting the level (which you can do before you die if you're quick enough!). I popped my bubble close to 10 times on "Over Under," but I only lost a life 2 times since I could just restart before I floated into the spike. Actually, now that I've spent all my lives, and am at -2 lives, just get rid of them. Pretty fun game though, lots of good level design here.
Yeah, Lives is something I intend to remove.
The Green Gem works on a Timer. It fades and disappears over time, and then you cant collect it. I guess its not apparent just from playing it.
Thanks for the feedback.
Pretty good, the difficulty doesn't seem to ramp up to much though. Also FYI if you add an extra 20px to the width and height when uploading your game you can get rid of the scrollbars.
In regards to the last comment: It looks to be a shader thing: "WARNING: Shader Unsupported: 'Hidden/PostProcessing/Debug/Histogram' - Pass '' has no vertex shader
UnityLoader.js:4:10703
ERROR: Shader Shader is not supported on this GPU (none of subshaders/fallbacks are suitable)WARNING: Shader Unsupported: 'Hidden/PostProcessing/Debug/Histogram' - Setting to default shader." And there's some other shaders not working as well.
Woo! I'm a fan of the game. Idea is simple and fun and easy to learn. A good quality of life change would be to show how many moves it takes for Gold on the level somewhere. Also, if you get a "pass" on a level you've already "Golded", it'll show up as green on level select. Nice secret level.
Since I've played this, it looks like one of the updates broke the game. I'm unable to see anything at the start, and if I click in the middle area of the screen (where I think I remember the start button being), it shows the face timer and "Click on ___ color" but there's no circles to click. Issue is on Firefox and Chrome.
Pretty good game! I also think it'd be good to map left click to space bar or something, especially since I started off using the arrow keys with my right hand. I think an endless mode would be a good addition too.
I'm only getting a black screen with sounds playing on Firefox and Chrome. Chromes gives the error: "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'off' of undefined." I would also make the game screen smaller, I can't fit all of it on my screen (1366px wide is HUGE for a web game).
UPDATE: I can't reproduce it, but I added little fix. Should be OK. It look like it happen on low internet connection. Please give me a feedback. Maybe you need clear cache or refresh page (anyway I added little trick to force clients to refresh JavaScript files).
Screen: options -> screen -> resolution or you mean "frame" ? What would be best?
I think this is a pretty good game, I found myself only using Radish though without a real need to switch. Corn/Asparagus I didn't really use a lot, because there weren't often a lot of grouped together enemies, and the scatter shot was a bit too wide for the narrow path we're on. It'd be good to add some sort of progression in the game, like more aliens coming more often as time goes on. I felt that I could just last forever (and I had maxed out my radish inventory at 50) and only ended the game on my terms. The bow is good, it would be either good to 1. have the bow immediately shoot a low damage projectile when X is tapped, or 2. Allow the player to move while pulling back the bow. There was a lot of times were I'd start firing and move a tiny bit and I'd have to let go and restart the shot. Good job overall though, keep it up.
I've uploaded a new version that should make some other solutions on level 18 (and perhaps other levels) easier. It turns out some others have found a solution on level 18 that caused the final number to be off by 4 pixels! This is now a valid solution in the newest version. Happy math merging!
Dear Cat: Stop telling me "Lousy Shot" when I hit two scarabs still. Also, stop telling me "Worst shot ever" when I'm letting them build up so I can get a combo. Thanks.
How about adding a radar that shows where the special gummies are? I'm stuck on all the "hit ___ gummy while on a ____ gummy" achievements right now and don't want to skip...
Thanks!
