Why does this game keep having connection errors?

I'm convinced people have learned how to cheat very well in tournament now.

This game lags and freezes too often to enjoy anymore. It seems not to matter what browser is used, it's either painfully slow to the point that it can effect your play in a turn or it just freezes somehow altogether. It was fun when it worked, but I'm done with it.
