@pooandwee: bouncing thing??? are we talking about the same game?
about the collision testing: haven't seen problems, but dont forget: hitting an enemy ship with a rocket, kills every enemy on the screen!
looks like it's to hard... changed it, should be less hard now.
@uglymcstick: that's normal: rocks aren't enemies, they give you powerups if you destroy them with your rocks
@ CodeGuy: go to your healthmeter, keep dubble-clicking on it until you are at the healthmeterbar. then, drag the bar until the little cross in the middle is at the upper left corner of the bar. (hope you understand what i just said...)
so, add the resetHealth-function to your Ship-class as described on page 6 of the shooturial. then, add "resetHealth()" to your onLoad-function of your Ship-class
@virtualcrush: you're wrong. this toturial says you to add "resetHealth()" to your onLoad()-function. this function has "health = 100" in it. so when the game starts, the function "resetHealth()" is called, who sets you health to 100 and sets the healthbar back to full health.
on page 9, you tell us to add this to the onEnterFrame()-function of the ship-class: "... shield._visible ..."
shield._visible doesn't work for me, _root.ship.shield._visible does work...
I think this shootorial misses something: if your shield is active, and you hit an enemy, your ship shouldn't be damaged... the shootorial doesn't explain the code for this thing
