As of Tuesday, Jun 23, 2020 the block badge worked for me. I am on Firefox and I didn't have to reload the page. It updated as I played, but that's just for me.
I've hit a stone wall and I don't really know what to do. I've completed every path halfway through the map. If I go up, I get clapped by the spirits, and if I go any other direction, the skeletons kill me before I can get them, causing me to run out of time. Any suggestions?
Yea the mid-game is probably the hardest part. Have you unlocked Set items? They're along the lower paths. If you can access Set Items, you open up a few options. Stacking Earth pieces can build you like a tank and you can slowly bust through some walls, and stacking Fire pieces will allow you to build up lots of STR over time. If you have not reached Set items yet, using Fortress can slowly chip away at tough areas since you're invincible. Slow but it works. As for the skeletons, Berserk is your best bet there. You may want to wait a bit after casting Berserk to build up more stats before tackling them. Good luck!
@Arcade3104 If you are having trouble with the distinguishing players because the uniforms are too similar, you can change them before you start the match.

So apparently there was some kind of world war (possibly a nuclear one) that destroyed humanity. The big thing outside the guard post was the Laser Drone on Thod's card. That was a war machine used in the war. In the guard post there is screens saying "Received pullout message," "Order Omega issued and completed," "Abandoning the internees."
This means there was some guards there, until they got a message from their group telling them to leave. So they left all the refugees (Tia, Dad, etc) behind.
Tia finds her uncle dead in the outpost, with the monitor saying "delivering lethal something." That probably killed him.
When Tia walks outside, she sees just how empty the world is (there was probably just a barren wasteland outside, judging by the brownish coloring), and realizes there is no one left in the world.
The cards were probably based off the units of the war, such as the soldiers fighting, the snipers fighting, the citizen (on the card it shows a missile flying towards a city, so that's a hint of a nuclear war), the tank, the silo as a military base, and finally the Laser Drone as probably some kind of WMD, and is found outside the base.
Just a tip: When looking to recruit, open the page and under the options It'll tell you about unique talent that may come up soon (so you should save your money) and things about special talent.
I think that the reason some people have trouble with this game is because they don't realize that the items you get are supposed to be used. You don't have to save every single item to make that perfect sword, bow, or axe, you just have to get past that and you will make much more progress.
CPU 1: "Ok guys, here's the plan: Wesley will blow everyone up with his RPG and get the flag while you guys run into walls and jump off cliffs."
CPU 2: "Great plan! Lets go!"
