In my mind, once they start asking for money, they aren't in "Beta" any more, no matter what excuses they give. So if this stupid "out of sync with server" thing makes me loose my "streak" on the daily prize spinner thing, I am going to be pissed!
I highly recommend against having any faction be "purchase into." Especially if you have other premium upgrades. You will very quickly have an imbalance between the premium and common factions that will only escalate. You will severely alienate your common and newer players and in the end, loose quite a bit of money. Given that I have been waiting almost half a day to make my second move... You can't afford to run anybody off.
Obviously, we should be more clear about this in the introduction to the game: all upgrades (skills) for a faction can be purchased with in-game currency. If you do not want to wait and buy more with real money, you can, but it's not mandatory. Since we always match you to players of your own ranking, everyone has an equal chance to win battles. Bottom line: we do not have premium upgrades. What we do have is an additional premium Faction that players can buy as additional content. That Faction however is not stronger than the free one. It just plays differently. Hope this helps.
Now, what would be useful, would be a way to close the shop for a day. Building up stock with no sales, but no chance of making a customer even less happy would be VERY helpful.
Well... My town is down to just me now. I think that whatever you put in that update has pissed off enough people that it might merit some thought as to whether or not it was worth loosing 6 out of 7 players. (My town, not comprehensive stats.)
Games like this are designed around the idea that you do better if you log in more often. It's a marketing thing. I get it. Given that understanding, it would be nice if the devs would show the update details from any given update once, instead if showing the same update details every time you log in for a week. - In unrelated news, my shop is no longer practicing sub natural quantum physics with texture map parts and has pulled itself together so I can get back to running it. Thanks guys!
Perhaps the cost of village upgrades should scale with the number of people in the town. When there were 6 or 7 people in my town, the costs seemed reasonable. Now that there are only 2 of us, and my partner seems... distracted, The costs of town upgrades are rather extreme.
Fixed in last update, bunches of issues. Broken, the graphics in my shop. The tiles on many shop items are in randomly wrong places and my weapons rack is a coat. Not sure why.
