I wish I could give it a 1.1. It IS (bizarely enough) better than the stupid penguin program. (I won't call either an actual GAME.) I can not however, in good concience, give anything this lame a 2.
I realy want to like it. But I don't know why. Sadly, I don't. It's not bad but... Also, the whole pausing and messing the game up thing is a problem when the mouse wants to be RIGHT on that left edge all the time and there is no buffer space between the app and the rest of digital space...
Is the 'troops remaining' meter glitched or is that supposed to represent some sort of sneak attack at the end of every single level, when the thing goes negative?
Okay. Maybe I'm a perfectionist. Maybe I'm just 'old school.' But I do try to complete levels loosing no lives oir as few as possible. The fifth time guys got to the end before ANY of my guys came out of their fox holes was enough. It is now happening on literaly every level. It's not utre. It's not strategic, challenging or realistic. It's just bad game building. This is otherwise not bad at all. But it's gonna cost stars from me till it's fixed.
The FCC requires you to make a statement of comercial intent at the bginning of the game. In this case, something like, 'This game is a paid advertisement for Wizard 101 Inc.' Otherwise, not bad.
I have to agree with Ignifer. With money on the line it wouldn't be fair to give a game a good rating just because it is someones first. (And I think its rather rude to ask people to do that actualy. This isn't the first time I've heard that. 'Oh don't givre me a low rating because...' list of excuses...) A decent first try though. Not much of a challenge without a border. If you want to compete on Kongregate, you will have to go a lot further than this. Snake is one of the oldest computer game genre's there is. And except for the wrap around feature and slightly better graphics, you haven't done anything different from the one I played in the arcade in the late 70's at Turtles. What you need to do with this is add something new and different. Possibly an enemy snake or moving walls or something. Dunno. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with copying an old game for your first try, you just aren't going to win any prises with it. Good luck next time out though!
What is the point of the energy thing? If you don't randomly draw enough XP to get to the next level you have to sit around for a couple of minutes? Thats both pointless AND stupid.
Seems to be nothing but an endless level grind. I have mhit the attack button about 200 times and used skills all of twice. (My character being a wizard this seems kind of sad.) Overall its nicely done but boring.
