I tried this again, and it seems like the other shoppers don't just run straight to you. The shiny cans are cool, although I'm not sure they're doing anything. How many points can *you* get without any upgrades?
Haha, the shiny cans are actually meant to be toilet paper. I could have done a better job at distinguishing them, and they give you the most points out of the three types of items. Other shoppers mostly run around randomly except for one whose AI is slightly tweaked to try and follow you and cut you off. In my testing attempts, I usually managed to get between 500 and 2000 without upgrades.
Thanks. The title screen is rendered at the size of the game - which is quite small by current standards. If you are zoomed in, or running cinematic mode it will be a bit pixellated. However I wonder whether you've been mislead by the graphical effect applied by the artist? Personally I really liked this piece of artwork!
But either way, I can't do anything about that now... and in my view the game itself is the important thing, not the loading screen.
This would have been fun in 2008. It is no longer 2008. I normally like these games, but this was boring and confusing. This should not be badge of the day.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to end at "You look much better already... Wake up, Captain!" or if the program just bugged and turned the UI white. This is a cool concept. I would definitely play a full version of this.
Hi senshisun, thank you so much for playing and giving your feedback. The sign at the beginning is disabled right now, but it'll show a panel with the controls. There's a weird bug on it and I'll fix it in a couple of days. Since here in Kongregate we have the controls by the side of the game, I didn't want to delay submitting the game any longer.
Thanks again! :)
This is fun, colourful, and polished! The controls are fluid, the characters react very well, and the fact everything can be played on one keyboard makes it very easy to play with friends. I hope more people see this.
