Okay seriously, at LEAST make the survival one replayable. It is so infuriating when I can't do a side mission like that over and over. I always love survival type games, and that just ruined it for me.
Could have been great, still could be, but to add to the complaints of everyone else, as I experienced a lot of the same problems, is the fact that if you bump the speed to 5, their units spawn at an appropriate rate, but yours continue to spawn at the same rate as with speed 1, so you end up getting owned if you speed up the game. 2/5
I would like to suggest two things: Place able defense structures (walls, towers that draw patrolling units to them in the event of enemies getting close, one or two basic attack towers), unit upgrade research would be nice as well.
I would suggest having a "do you have a heart condition", I do, and that made my chest hurt for quite a bit. I am being completely serious on that matter.
85 days and I have destroyed humanity on realistic... I started trying to get this badge over a year ago.... YES! TAKE THAT MADAGASCAR!!! IN YOUR FACE I WIN ETC. ETC.!!!!
@Angryhobo It's not assuming the killer walks in only straight lines (haha) the location is based off of typical hunting patterns of killers. The murders usually occur on the edge of their "territory", so if you can get kill locations in the general area of N, S, E, and W, it's actually a pretty practical assumption that the killer would have his place near the center of that.
You know what would make this a bit better, but not overpoweringly so? The armed civilians should try to stay in sight of your officer units, essentially following them but uncontrolled. It just seems like the likeliest thing for them to do.
You really need to rework the combat, and really, you have a bunch of weapons and only ONE person killing zombies?? That makes no logical sense, also, the zombies do WAAAAYYY too much damage to the wall in a matter of seconds. Rework the combat, and this is easily a 5, until then a 3.
It SEEMS like you already have a random weapon generation system in place, that said, three things:
1: Save Feature
2: Shop every so many dungeon levels
3: Save game character import
With those three things, this game would be epic win. And optionally, random quest objectives, even basic dungeon crawlers have them. Simple stuff, like some random NPC monster says something like "I hate monster type 'x', kill (random number) and I will give you a reward!" ANd it could be just an ultra rare monster spawn :)
Great concept and all, nice look, amusing dialogue, the only problem I see is that the level ups only allow you to upgrade a single party member each time. It's a bit silly, in my opinion. 3/5
