Fun game, but upgrade achievements should cascade... I skipped two weapon levels and went straight to tungsten, and now I can't get the gold/diamond achievements
I love the unique twist on the game but there is a serious problem with clicking potatoes. At first, it was just an offset of the mouse, where i'd have to position the mouse a bit to the left of a potato for it to register a click, but I tried moving Safari to another screen and now it only registers clicks on one screen, not the screen Safari is on!
I can click buttons normally, but potatoes don't work the way I suppose they're supposed to.
Also, memory leak when left idle for more than what seems to be 10 mins.
Thanks! and have you tried using Mozilla, it seems to work better! Also, you are more than welcome to comment again or send me a message on what you think, might be causing this memory leak! :D Thanks for the comment!
Fun game! Pro-tip for those farming space potatoes: going into upgrade screen and back to the game refreshes potatoes. Do this a few times and you're bound to get space potatoes without even clicking! Upvote if this helped.
To follow up from my previous comment (thanks for the quick response!), the interface is good, I just feel like there's a lot of "wasted" space. I like the fact that each menu has its own little picture, but I'd personally prefer a smaller picture so that I can see say, more upgrades, or more achievements (less scrolling that way).
Another way to combat against troops being useless in the beginning is making troops unavailable until a certain gold threshold (so make barracks a later purchase). That way, once troops are unlocked, players can instantly invade countries. Just an idea.
Keep up the great work!
It's a neat game so far, the interface could use some work. I see many people complaining about not being able to fight countries until a bit of idling; one way to combat this is to replace "Map" with a ????? and you can purchase the conquests with gold and armies so that way, people don't know what they don't have.
Granted, they'll wonder why they have troops AND gold, but it's a start.
But the comments will be flooded with how useless 'troops' are and "What do I use troops for??" Lol just trading one complaint for another. We will be adding sorting features for gold / troop objects and what not for the interface later but there won't be any serious changes done to it since completely changing a GUI a week after a game's launch is not a very smart thing to do :P (Besides, I like the style of the GUI, adding some sorting tools to help navigate it will probably make all the difference.) ~Taiga
It's fine for quest 2 to take longer, it extends the length of the game. But it doesn't make sense at all to have quests 1 and 3 if they're so easy that they can be completed in a minute.
Also, perhaps a short game isn't so bad after all. Perhaps you could have "ascensions" where you can keep a portion of your upgrades and play the game over again.
It was originally meant to be a spinoff... but things got out of hand...
